Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Yep, in the morning.  Some may get a chance to call later, but sometimes not.  If anyone hears who won, be sure to post here.

Here is the info on Captains Cup:

Hi yall, I haven't had much time to post here but I have really enjoyed reading all your posts via my email account. We will be at Sarge's meet and greet on the 28th. I have seen a few mentions of parking passes but I haven't been able to track that back to info about where to get one. Can you help me?

I have been completely unplugged since yesterday. Our Internet went out, not sure if it was from the sotrm or not, but it still is not working. Made my way to work today so I can get on the Internet! Sad, I know! Anyway, after a long snowy day, and my husband getting stuck in the snow, he finally made it home last night. We were exhausted and ready for bed pretty close to 10 o'clock. Right around that time our phone rang! I was like, OMG, maybe it's our SR. And yes, it was!! He got a Brovo Zulu for his division so his commander rewarded him with a 10 minute phone call home!! I was sooo happy to hear his voice. He sounded so good! I cannot wait for the I'm a Sailor call either! That way we can talk for longer. Just wanted to share my news! One week from today we will be hugging our sailors!!! ;)

Does anyone know when Captain's Cup is for Div 101?

Oh btw, thanks Diannep for mentioning about our personal comment page, because I didn't know anything about it. I always checked here, or my email only. I just checked and see that mines is filled with comments. So, if anyone commented on my page and I didn't respond please forgive me, because it wasn't intentional at all. Let me get back to the page and try responding to it all, lol. Thanks again!

So close now, it is great! I woke up early this morning around 6am making sure my phone was charged and on. I am not sure exactly when we will begin receiving the calls, but I wanted to make sure that it would be no reason he couldn't get in touch with me. Does that make me crazy? LOL. My mom called and told me yesterday that it was 7 degrees, or something like that down there and I could only think OMG I will never survive. She made a joke about we think it is freezing down here in Texas at 30 degrees, so I know at 7 degrees I would have to take the hotel blankets up there with me if it is still that cold, lol. Anyway, wish everyone a safe trip and hope to meet everyone soon.

Ladies, be sure to be checking your comment section on your personal pages.  Sometimes people don't realize that others can put comments at the bottom of your pages!
