~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

So I have a question I need to ask the vet moms.  I have been told that I am a VIP because I am an Elected Offical, but my SR said that they never ask him about VIP's in the family.  I called today to the PR department and they said my Sr has to do the repoting of this.  Should I even worry about it? or should I just let it go?

Sandi My son told me he would call on the 26th also.  So they must know when.  I am ready for that call.

Glad to help, Dianne.  Wish I had remembered that I had it....I would have posted it sooner!

The I'm a Sailor calls usually don't start before 2 pm Central time and they will go for awhile.

sandi8:  Yep, I think you are right!  They know their BattleStations date!

BrianH>  Thanks for the training day info for 103/104 since I now can determine their BattleStations date by that.  Can't post it here....but it won't be long now!

Evening, all.  I really need to check in here more often.  2 1/2 weeks!!!  Hotel reservations are made, now I'm getting impatient!  My son called Feb 1.  Told us how excited he was about the upcoming firearms training.  Haven't gotten a call since, (except for a quick call needing more reference names for his security clearance) so assuming Hell Week went well.  He said that day (Feb 1) was 3-4 day, so I'm guessing only 7 weeks for Division 104?  This week (Week 5) they should be doing firefighting.  I don't remember where I got this link from, but figured I'd share it here, for any who haven't seen it.  It breaks Boot Camp down week by week, through Week 6.  Hope it helps.  http://www.navydep.com/forums/showthread.php?t=433

Got a letter today and my son said he would be calling on February 26. Not sure if I will bet on that date 100% but I'm thinking that they know when Battle Stations will be and he knows he can call after that. When the rest of you get your letters later in the week, be sure to post if you get info. about the phone call date. I never used to keep my phone on my desk during the day, but now I have to and if it rings my first graders say, "Maybe it's your son!!" They will be more excited than I will be if he calls during the day!
