Once they have passed all tests, they go through BattleStations. This is an overnight drill that they participate in the same night as their brother division does...and sometimes either an 800 or 900 division joins them or another set of brother divisions. Once they are finished in the early morning, they have the capping ceremony where they exchange their RECRUIT caps for their NAVY caps. They are sailors!
That afternoon, if they don't have "watch", they will be calling you with that wonderful "I'm a Sailor" call. It is an exciting day. Calls can start coming in around 2 pm GL time and go for a while.
They start with the lower numbered divisions (800/900 divisions not included in the numerical order theme...they can go different times). Those in the lower numbered divisions are the furthest along in training. They all finish BattleStations without a few days of each other though. They cannot participate in BattleStations until they pass their final PFA (fitness test) and all academic tests. If they have not passed the PFA by the time their division is scheduled for BattleStations, they are put in FIT DIVISION and allowed to keep trying to pass. Many accomplish this before their PIR and are able to join another group to go through BattleStations once they pass the test. I have heard that if they don't pass their academic tests by this time, they may be setback (asmoed). But usually it is the PFA that can trip a few up (the run or swim usually).
BattleStations starts in the early evening and ends in the early morning. The capping ceremony is very emotional for them. They have worked so hard for this! The RDCs are so proud of them as they issue them their NAVY caps. Occasionally RTC FB will post a pik of the capping ceremony to a division that wins their TRIVIA contest.
BattleStations takes place on a Disney-created mock ship called the USS Trayor and they are tested on all that they have learned, and their response to any situation that could arise while deployed on a ship. Teamwork is very important. Most all will pass BattleStations, but occasionally an SR will fail for falling asleep or just not working well as a team member, and will have to go through with another group again (and will be at PIR).
For a video peek at what they do, go to youtube.com and put in "BattleStations 21 by CNN". They are quite tired by the time they finish, but most really have positive experiences during the night and learn alot. They cannot go to sleep during the next day, but get to go to bed about 2 hours earlier that night.

Wow. My nine year old and I just watched the video and am amazed at what these recruits go through on this drill. I hope that all our sons/daughters do well.
I watched this one and a couple of others. I am so very PROUD of my son!!!! Hooyah!!!
I deleted the post that showed a BStations date. We aren't allowed to post them on here. However, if you have one, you can post that you have one, and others can private message you for it.
The date that had been posted for 075/076 on here sounded like it could be correct. Those 2 divisions will start BattleStations for the PIR group...being the first 2 divisions. Normally, they start the week before, but with a small group like this, they sometimes start PIR week. My guess is that either a 900(s) division or another set of brother divisions will join them.
i do know that at least one from RCU will be joining someone for BS he was told M
@diannep - I sent you a friend request so I can let you know what I know about BS. I'm part of div 075. I've said elsewhere that my info just doesn't make sense with everything else I know, so I'm pretty sure something is different (either my info is wrong or things aren't being done the typical way or whatever).
Yes, now I have been informed that 5 divisions think they are going the same night. Can't be--too many divisions in one night and some out of order...I'll accept your friend request now.
Sent you a message with what I know - which isn't much at this point!
I sent you a friend request so I can let you know what date I heard.

If anyone has heard of when BS is going to happen for 080, please let me know by private message.
