For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

did you get the pamphlet that was included in the form letter? it has a map with all the motels surrounding the base.

I know courtyard has a discount - i booked at 74 a night. Just tell them you are there for BC grad. Also Navy Lodge.

Oh that is funny I booked at the courtyard Marriot and paid 79 a night LOL still a good deal I think..Havent book flight yet though waiting a little closer

Hi Callie. My son is in this division and we booked at the Residence Inn also. There were lots of good reviews. I booked a 2 bedroom suite.

I'm also trying to figure out where we're staying. My husband wants me to find a place that has a shuttle to the graduation, which I agree with. Navy Lodge is only $65/night, but there is no shuttle.

Ramada has a shuttle and that is where we are staying. It has a shuttle that is what sold us. $79 per night

are you sure navy lodge doesn't have a shuttle? I booked there and I thought they did!

i just called them and they do not have a shuttle...hmm that is funny..I can't believe that!

Yup, I asked them that specifically. They said some of their hotels have them, but not the one in Great Lakes. We're going to get a rental car anyway, but we really want to take a shuttle in; I read somewhere that it's much easier to get in that way. I'm going to look around; the Ramada sounds good.

The shuttle drops you off at the gate from what I read. I do not think they can go all the way on. about a 15 - 20 min walk. I found this out yesterday, but it should be ok a little walk never hurt anyone. FYI there is another lady that has posted some very useful information on the main page under our PIR date.
