I GOT MY LETTER!!!!!!!
He said in his letter that he really likes it. That he is having a great time learning all these different things. He is meeting a lot of really cool people and that a guy named Horner is next to him in the height line. He said he met him at MEPS and they are in the same division now. He said it is so different from home and he misses us so much. He said that he needs all the letters because that is what keeps him going knowing that we are missing him and keeping him in the loop of what is going on at home. He got a promotion because he passed his DEP test and his PFA. He said he is happy and that it isn't as bad as everyone made out. He is learning so much like how to fold his skivvies!
Getting that letter made my day.... NO MY WEEK!!!! I can't wait to see if I get any more letters next week!!!! HOOYAH!!!!
YaY!!!! I am so excited for you!!:) I am so glad yours is doing so well:) Now we just need a phone call! lol
You should have seen me just a little bit ago. I have put something in the mail every day since I got his address. Sometimes more than one! lol Anyway, my son had basketball this morning and I didn't get anything together before we had to leave. I didn't get back home until about 1 or 1:30 and I knew they mailman was coming soon. My computer was acting up and I had to hand write a letter. I rushed and wrote a few lines and heard the mailman!! lol I ran got the envelope (thankfully I had some already printed with the addresses on them and stamped) and ran outside! lol You would have thought I was a crazy woman! lol I made it tho! I then came inside and wrote him another one so I could ask him a few questions that I didn't have time to in the quick one:)
So happy for you! Sounds like things are going well for him. That's awesome! It's funny how we are craving letters as much as they are.
So happy everyone is getting letters from our kids! Greatful they are doing well. Hope they each get time to write home again today.........will be waiting anxiously by the mail box Wednesday :)
I am going to be anxiously awaiting for sure!:) True, Johanna, I wonder if they realize we are needing them as much as they are?! lol I was hoping for a call today:/ I guess not a chance yet!
They are talking about every division wearing a different color for PIR. What do yall think? I like purple! lol:)
Hmm..the boys should be in their 4th week now..but the 2nd of their "official" training and should be getting a call home sometime soon..hoping on tonight..or within the next couple days! Hope you ladies are doing well! Don't worry we'll hear from them soon!! :)
We get to choose our color?! Nice! :)
Great! If all is ok with Purple I will post that is our color:)
Hi Leslie, I was wondering about the call thing today, too. I panicked quickly when I took a nap and forgot to put the phone on my night stand. I even dreamed the other day that he said "I kept calling you, but you wouldn't answer the phone." Ugh..... I do understand that phone calls are earned. From what I understand, my fella briefly touched on the fact that they weren't quite a cohesive division, yet.
I hope they can work it all out soon. I know what you mean, I had my phone with me hear at my desk and I went to the living room. I was watching TV with my husband and realize I didn't have my phone!! I rushed around looking for it! lol I was relieved that I didn't see "missed call"!
I agree with you there Johanna..heard the same thing from my SR..and I keep thinking I hear my phone! Anyways, I hope they start learning to work together so they can call soon! Lots of different personalities in the division from my understanding..
Hi Viola, while I was a little disheartened that he said they weren't coming together, just yet, he was excited about the new friendships that he was making. My nephew (Navy Man), who is in Hawaii said that my fella will be in the best shape EVER if they are not coming together. I kinda chuckled...I know these tough times will only make our fellas stronger..God willing.
Is purple ok with all of you for the color of our division? If so I will post on main page for our PIR so they will know. Also, do yall want to do a scarf? I think that would be the easiest. What are your thoughts? I am so excited!:) Looking forward to when we can all get a call. I hope and pray they are working well together as a group and will get to have their phone call soon!:)
