proudmom2 I have also received no letter.   I am very sad also.   You are not alone.   I rush home every day to see if I have one.   I can feel it today is the day for both of us.   Lets keep our fingers crossed.

I can't believe they took his wisdom teeth out!!! OUCH!!!  I have written my SR a letter every single day except last Saturday ( I was skiing).  I even gave him one to open on the plane when he left!  His sister and brother have written to him and his girlfriend as well!!!  He must have gotten a ton of mail last weekend.  We had his address the day after he left so started writing then.  I just babble on about nothing in the letters.  I do it more for my therapt than for him I think sometimes!

Better to have his wisdom teeth out now rather than have them flare up on him in a less convenient place!  I work in dentistry so I know what can happen.

Good morning!  Sad day...still no letter yesterday.  No call...this wait is getting longer and longer!!

My SR goes to Pensacola, FL after boot camp.  Anyone else?

Really missing my SR today.   He has always been my hugger and knows when I need one.   I really need one today.   I just keep telling myself keep as busy as possible but I just can not stop thinking about him every minute.   I really hope I get a letter today.   it wont be a hug but close enough for now.

My son is going to SC for Nuke also.  We live in Texas.  :)

My spouse and I just attended the exhibit of Norman Rockwell paintings here at the Dayton Art Institute. They had the 4 paintings that Rockwell did based on a speech by FDR right after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. The paintings represented the 4 Freedoms....Freedom of Speech, Freedom from Want, Freedom of Fear, and Freedom of Worship. I bought a postcard and have sent to my SR, but it is for all the SR's in Ship 09 Div 075. Because of my SR there, seeing some of these paintings struck me and of course I cried right there in the museum. We are wonderful parents of great boys/girls who will defend these 4 Freedoms for us.

Good Bless the US Navy!

Thank you for sharing this.  I cannot imagine what it would be like to go to Pearl Harbor now.

My SR left for boot camp on 1/4/2012

FireTeamLeaderWife, I tried to respond to your question but your profile is set to private!  My son left for bootcamp on January 4th.

Sorry! Duh...I forgot...been a crazy day! Accepting friend request! Thank you for your patience!
