My son is also on Ship 09/Div075. We are looking so forward about heading up to GL for PIR. I can't believe how time has flown by. We only have 23 days left. We will stay at the Ramada Inn. My other 2 kiddos will be coming up there with us and they are so excoited about their first plane trip to see their Bubba graduate. My son will leave GL and head to Charleston to start A School. We are so glad that he will be stationed in Charleston for the next two years because Charleston is only 5 hours away from Atlanta.

Glad to have you join our group.   please also visit our FB page at https://www.facebook.com/NavyRecruitTrainingCommand

You will meet others there as well.   we are also staying at the Ramada.   My daughter is also very excited it is her first plane ride also.   How old are your other 2 children?

Rick is 13 and Kassie is 12, How about your daughter?

Welcome bamamominga.

Thanks so much !!!

We will be staying at the Ramada too! Im not going to cry today so I wont watch videos! I posted on our FB forum page already this am. Hope you have a great day!

I was reading things on the RTC website and then watched this video showing sailors talking about the different things they learned in training and I just sat here with tears falling down my cheeks.  Jeez...so emotional.  Better take a jumbo size box of tissues to PIR.

Drama...I cried reading your post....sheez!!!  I should be a hot mess at PIR!!!

I know I will be.   I have several packs of tissues ready and in my bag for graduation.

and Waterproof Mascara!!!  Don't want my face running down my cheeks!!  LOL :-)

Ah, the raccoon eyes. Yeah..I will have waterproof mascara and eyeliner! :-)

I'm reposting this to the DIV 075 hoping for answers!

HELP!!  I am in such a quandary about what day to book my flights home from graduation.  On top of needing two hotel rooms (we have 6 people), which is costly and paying for 6 plane tickets from Maine (I could cry), I don't know whether to stay over again on Saturday night in case he doesn't leave for A school until Sunday or if I'm just wasting an extra $150 for another night at a hotel when he's gone on Saturday.
