N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Ooops, never mind, Mamabear.  Forgot I was on the 03/13 group so you are THERE!  Just show up tonight at Sarge's....its ok.  He just likes to have an approx count to know the food ordering, but it is fine.  Please go and enjoy yourself!

Comment by diannep on March 12, 2015 at 4:43pm

Mamabear:  CatMom has a place she can recommend for the eyebrows so message her or wait for her to see your post!  You can scroll back a page or two here to find her last post.

Yes, Sarge asks that you register for his MeetandGreet, posting the number in your group in the comments section.  He needs to have an approx count to order the food.  I will post the link to his page in a moment!

Did we need to register for Sarges? And where can a female sailor get eyebrows done that's close to base?

Good Morning!  Safe travel today.....enjoy Sarge's MeetandGreet tonight, be early to PIR tomorrow!   A hint for those driving to PIR.  Stay to the left on Buckley (main drag to RTC), car line will be on your right.  Leave early for good choice of seating, gates open at 6:30.  Bypass RTC and turn around at the train station which is right past there, heading back to RTC from the opposite direction.  Easy no-wait left turn onto RTC!  Some may opt to park at the train station too (minimal parking charge) and walk the 1/4-1/2 mile (sidewalks) to RTC to avoid any traffic leaving RTC after PIR.  Others will take the shuttles and be dropped off/picked up at the gate.  Lots of options!

heidi:  Sounds like your sailor's division got the Hall of Fame honor!  A great honor!  My son's division got that when he was there too....and they were quite proud!  Congrats!

One correction in your post below, Concerned Mom & Dad:  "Excited to see our SAILOR!!!!"  HOOYAH!  No more SR although E-1's are still referred to as that but are sailors to me since they passed it all!

Congrats to all!
