ooooooooohhhhhh Thank you, thank you!  I couldn't find that anywhere!  Still haven't gotten my official form letter, and that was all I got from her recruiter!!!!!

Looking for other moms who's daughters are with mine!!!!!     Thank you again! LOVE this site!!

Hi Robin,

I recieved my form letter on 2/2/12 and my daughter is on Ship 03, Div 095, so they are on the same ship but different divisions. On the back of the letter she wrote that everything is going great and she loves it, but then again it was only day 4 of processing....lol. I was just so excited to see her handwriting :). She also said that she will be getting her wisdom teeth out, but she is a strong young lady, so I am sure she will be fine. (Fingers crossed). I hope you recieve the form letter soon.

Micki

Hi Micki,

So glad you've heard from your daughter!   And she is doing well... minus the wisdom teeth having to come out... my daughter had those out a few years back... it wasn't a long recovery!

I am hoping for the form letter tomorrow.... everyday that goes by is awful!  Is her PIR 3/16?  We are pretty sure that is the date for Tayler's.  We've already made the reservations at the hotel!  LOL

Thanks for the update Micki....... hopefully tomorrow ;)

Hi Robin,

I hope you get the letter tomorrow as well b/c it really does mean so much. Believe me I know what you are going through!!! Yes, Kayla's PIR is the 16th and I have not made any reservations yet as my other 2 kids need to get approval from their jobs, hopefully I can make the reservations tomorrow!

Take Care!

Micki

Thanks Micki,

I am hoping that is her PIR as well... I guess when I see the form letter, i'll know for sure!   Can't help but wonder what They are all doing each hour/minute...... they say no news is good news!   :) have a great day!

Robin

Good Morning Robin(0:

Still no form letter in the mail)0:  I am going to do some checking on hotels today and HOPEFULLY get a reservation somewhere!

I have to tell you that it is VERY comforting for me to know that I may already "know" somebody when I get to Great Lakes(0:

Thank you so much for your communication!!

Good Morning!

I see the mail man down the street..... have to wait probably another hour before he gets here.... sigh.   Let me know where you get a reservation, I'm sure you'll find something :)   I've read that there are meet and greets before they recruits graduate...... they usually post right before we would go up!  Will keep a look out for it!  Looking forward to meeting you, and I agree... it is very comforting to "know" someone who not only knows exactly what I'm going through emotionally... but has a daughter in the same "boat" and we can follow this "trip" together!  :)  Thank you for all your support!

Where are you coming from?  I am here in Jersey.  Will be a LONG 13 hour drive up!  But WELL worth it!

Hey Robin...

I hope your letter comes today!!!! Our mailman comes about 3:00pm so I still have a couple of hours to wait :(. We live in South Carolina and our drive is 17 hours, but well worth it. Have you made any reservations for a hotel yet? We are thinking about the Ramada as they have really good Navy rates, along with a restaurant & swimming pool.... I will let you know once I book it. If we aren't in the same hotel, I would still like to meet you.

Where in Jersey are you from? I am originally from NY...grew up in Yonkers then moved up to Carmel once the kids were born.

Micki

Hi Micki!

Yes... very well worth it!  Can't wait for that drive, actually!   We are at the Marriott... they  have a good military rate, restaurant and pool as well!  Yes, please keep me posted! Would love to meet you as well!  They have these meet and greets too, that I've noticed along the right side of this page... I am interested in going to that!    My mom, oldest son and youngest daughter are coming with me!  My husband is staying with the rest of our children.

I am from Trenton/Ewing originally, but living in Burlington County now... a tiny bit more south Jersey.   Born and raised here... would love to move.  But, further north!!! LOL    We are headed to NH next week for a tournament.... we've been to Lake Placid NY a few times... it is beautiful up there..... Loved it!

Robin
