Anyone?  My son left on the 24th.  We got his box and form letter yesterday.  He said it's pretty good so far, but he's tired and they can't really talk to each other yet.

My son left on the 24th also on ship 12 but is div 094. Got his letter yesterday and he said so far it was okay but stressful.  I'm sure he's in the routine now and not as stressed.

Maybe once they start getting to know each other they will meet.  My son is AECF, how about yours?

Zach is in the Nuclear Power program.  Are you going up for PIR?

Absolutely.  We booked a room at the Springhill Suites in Waukegan.  Trying to figure out driving or flying, brothers or not....  Are you going?

Yes, flying up on wednesday.not sure where we will stay. Thought about driving, but it's a long way from Idaho. Only have one other daughter so she it's coming with us

I got my letter today from my husband, who left the 24th.  He is in AECF. Being from Florida, I will have to fly. Being new to all things military, I am thrilled to have found this group! :)

We got his clothing and the letter, said he was tired. I am going to PIR, don't know where to stay yet, and how many meet and greets are there?

My son left on January 24 too.  He is on Ship 12 Div 093.  I got his box last Friday and the form letter on Monday and couldn't believe the PIR date is March 16.  I was figuring it to be March 30 so it was great to knock 2 weeks off the countdown to see him.  We are staying at the Ramada Inn in Waukegan and plan on attending the meet and greet.

I do!

My son left the 23rd and is Ship 12 Division 93. I attended my oldest son's PIR in 2008. It was awesome!!!

Dont think I have ever been so proud of him. The ceremony was really something to see. Can't wait for Cameron's PIR.

The meet and greet was a good time.....have two really great friends I met on here that I still chat with. Really looking forward to meeting you other mothers and wives.

You are a pro at this military life then huh?  It's all so new to me.  I'm doing better than I had expected, but I can't wait to at least get a letter from him.

I like the idea.  I searched to see what colors others might be wearing, but didn't find anything.  I like green, for st. patty's day?
