Anyone else have a loved one on Ship 9, Div. 087? My son is going to Nuke School in Charleston following PIR. Like so many of you, I am counting down the days until March 16!! Hope to see you there:)

Yes, I did see it. It went to my personal mailbox, kinda like Facebook...Every time someone posts anything under the 3/16 PIR, I see it on my phone. But good luck finding it on these pages!!!
I copied and pasted this from the N4M PIR info page...It's about Battlestations:
They can start on Tues, Wed, or Thurs, a week before PIR. They do not go on Fri or Sat nights because of Captains Cup on Sat....a fun athletic competition between divisions in that PIR group. Then they can resume on Sun-Wed nights, depending on how large the PIR group is and how many of those nights they will need. If an SR has not passed all of his/her final tests, he/she will not be allowed to do BattleStations until those are passed. Most get that done in time to still PIR with their group, but occasionally someone won't and will be held back until the test is passed (in FIT DIVISION if failed PFA), then participate in BattleStations with another PIR group. Normally he/she will not be allowed to PIR then but will instead head straight for A School. Those who pass before PIR can do BattleStations as late as the night before PIR. They will then be at PIR, in the balcony and in uniform as a sailor, but too tired to march.
On the facebook page of PIR 3-16. Everyone is talking about their division flags. Some even has a pic of it. Has any of your SRs said anything about it? What it looks like? You can get t-shirts too with the flag on it. I thought someone said one of their SRs was helping make it or something. TOMORROW down to single numbers!!!! HOOYAH 087!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey all!
Are you getting excited? This Friday afternoon you need to have that phone on the loudest setting!!!!! My son gave me a run down for the week. 087 is strong and is looking at "Top of the Class" out of 14 Divisions, if all goes well these last couple of days- HOOYAH! 087
I got a letter today!!! TN said about the same thing. Said Fri was BC21. But I wondered if they could go at 8pm on Thurs nite and come out on Fri at 8am? It doesn't matter. Just bring on the Sailor call!! I messed up!! He told me DO NOT send his contacts!!! If I did he would get into trouble. Well, he was to late on the draw. I mailed them Monday so he would get them WED. I hope they aren't d to hard on him. He really seemed up beat. OK how about everyone else? What did your SR say?
Ok, so here's what my letter said. You guys are right on with what my son told me. TN's Mom - he said they o start BS at 8:00 p.m. Thursday and it goes until 7:00 a.m. Friday. He said they were having 2 inspections on dress uniforms this week; yesterday (Tuesday) was their last PFT; today was another test (?) and tomorrow is their last marching inspection before starting BS at 8:00 p.m.!!! He said if all goes as planned by Friday afternoon he will officially be a sailor. Anyone who fails Tues or Wed tests would automatically get switched out of the division. They would still PIR next week but with a different division:( I am beyond excited and anxious too! Our guys are so close and they know it - Like Kitty said, they are strong and reaching for the TOP!! -- I just pray that they know how proud we are of all of them!! Do you think they will know when they see the look on our faces in 9 short days!!!
OK ladies - I was on chat with some of the veteran moms today and they said that for those Sailors that have a 10-day hold/leave/whatever they're calling it - that they do not go home for this period of time. They leave for A school right after PIR, just like we expected, and then do menial chores there to keep them busy. They are not allowed to wear their own clothes for the first two weeks, and are not allowed to leave base for the first 3-4 weeks till they "phase up". But they can also make themselves phase down if they mess up. In addition, they have to have a liberty buddy with them when they leave base.
I seen this on another div. This is so true. Just wanted to share it. Have a great day!
I saw this too! Love it!!!!! Many prayers for tonight's events... Go 087!!!!!
Awesome post! Thanks for all the information today everyone. I feel like a sponge --- there is so much to take in....
I think our guys are going to get very busy tonight...I don't know if I will get any sleep but that's ok. We can sleep on March 17, right?!
AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
