Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 117 and 118

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Lorraine- my son will be an Engineman..

Thanks Mimi,, I don't think I'm the only one that needs the encouragement :)  Seems like these 2 divisions are the only one's that haven't. On his form letter in tiny little writing it said " I will write when I'm allowed" I didn't see it until the 3rd time I read it. Stay strong and Navy On!!! Hopefully some will get calls soon :)

Just got a call from my son!!! He sounds really well and very excited to talk to us. I was in a store shopping for something to wear to PIR and my husband was in the truck waiting for me. I dropped all my stuff and ran out there so we could both talk! I hope you hear from your son today also!

My son called today, and from what I'm reading on other group pages, many recruits were able to call home today as well.   Although I wasn't home and didn't talk to my son, my husband tells me he sounds great. Good news.

Sorry to hear that nicksmom.. Message me last name and if I get a call I will ask. I will ask in a letter too. Sending you hugs

Hi Nicksmom, I am sorry you have not heard from your son and his wife will not give you the address or division.

The best anyone can do for you is pass the message along that you are looking for him, and ask that he send you the information. The members here cannot pass that along to you!!

Calls today from Div 117!!

My son called over the weekend. He was tired and very stressed. I told him to take it day by day. He said most of them were taking it meal to meal...   :(     Only 4 weeks to go !!

My son said he tried to call me every weekend, but the lines were to long. Last week he got to the phone and they kicked everyone out. This Sunday he called  about 4pm. We got to talk for about 10 min.  He said its so hard to get to the phones. He said everyone is very stressed and its a very hard adjustment. He said it's go, go , go from 6am -10pm. He did say they get about 7-8 hours sleep every night and they are eating well. Just mentally wiped out.
