For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

PacNWmom: They may not be able to write yet....or maybe were allowed to write for the first time this past weekend. It takes about 2 weeks for the Recruit Mail Petty Officer to be trained for a division. My son told me before he left for Bootcamp 5 years ago, that he wouldn't be writing because he doesn't like to write (just texts!), but he would call when he could....he wrote me 5 letters.....so you may be surprised! They live for mail !

Jodie: Some of them write under the "red lights" after lights out. If they can keep their eyes open! They can only mail out on Mondays though (collected Sundays), once they are allowed to start writing/receiving mail . They will receive mail M-F then.

Just got my plane tickets for graduation. Can't wait to see our kids. Haven't gotten a letter yet either.

My husband said he gas written a letter every day since he has been there except for the first initial night. Are they allowed to write at lights out or do they have to squeeze it in when ever they can?

Hi! my son is on Ship 11 Div 120. I spoke to him on Sunday (more security clearance questions) he also said that he is only allowed to write letters on Sundays, and he had just sent it out. waiting for it to arrive. hopefully tomorrow. I have only written one letter. as a matter of fact, I should get off of here and write him! LOL

Hi OLGA my son is in SHIP 13 DIV 122 as well, when I talked to him this past Saturday he said had written me a letter and it would go Monday, I have not received it as of yet... I mailed his letters out this morning, so we'll see which one of us receives it first ??? I am anxiously waiting too !!!
