My son is in 920 and I got about a 10 min call from him yesterday. He said boot camp isn't as bad as he was expecting, but isn't easy either.

I got the call from my son yesterday too!  He is in 920.  Sounded good but said they have a lot of responsibility and very little free time.  Sounds like a lot of pressure.  My husband and his brother got to talk to him all together since we put him on speaker phone.  The best we can do is keep strong for them and let them know we believe in them.  They can get through this!! I was holding back tears when I heard his voice!  Can't wait for PIR.  By the way, how do you RSVP to Sarge's Meet and Greet?

Encouragement encouragement encouragement!  No negative news should be shared with your SRs in your letters/calls.  Keep everything upbeat....enclose jokes, funny positive stories in your letters....anything to uplift them.  They are sealed off from the outside world so you are their contact.  Just keep it light, loving and positive and they will do fine!

Good Morning!

I hope everyone's sons and daughters find the strength to push through. We all know its going to be a rough couple weeks for them but like I told my husband 46 more days. Just 46 more days and you will get to celebrate all that you have a accomplished. You will get to relish in all the sweat, all the tears and say to yourself that you did it. You pushed through everything that was thrown at you. You survived.

I have found encouraging quotes and song lyrics to send to him. I've also considered sending funny jokes or riddles to help pass the time. (:

We have each other to get through this, and they have their new brothers and sisters there.

We will all make it through!

Oh it was so heart warming and heart breaking hearing him talk with our daughters today. But when I had him on speaker phone our son was just kicking away. (: I write letters from our two year old, and help our five year old write him letters as well. Tomorrow I have an ultrasound so I am going to send him an updated picture of our son, and a letter written from him to his daddy (: hopefully that will cheer him up!

Make sure you take care of yourself and don't get stressed out. Your husband is going to do great. This is all just a test for them all. I am sure that his will to do well is you and that baby! :)
