Theresa711 - The term you are looking for is ASMO - Assignment Memorandum. This is the term used if a Recruit is held back in training for medical, academic, adjustment or disciplinary reasons. (I'm 'splainin' it, but nobody worry, k?)
As far as flight reservations - the RTC Family Guide advises refundable tickets...WAY to expensive. I'm sure they do so for a good reason.
BUT, Southwest Airlines is very good from what I read. You'd think I would remember the details about it but I don't! Not my "area of expertise" LOL. diannep is good with that and I am sure she will be along sometime soon, see your post and supply the info.
SpineNurse63 - You may send one set of contacts 2-3 weeks prior to PIR. You may also send a small amount of solution. Write the contents on a corner of the box. It will still have to be opened in front of an RDC but it's good to mark it. They will be put away for your Recruit for PIR.
Got a call and letter today. Trying to make airline reservations. Somewhere on this site it mentioned what kind of flight resv. to make in case his PIR date gets changed...can't remember the term for it. Anyone got the link to it? Son is in 13 Div121 btw.
Can anyone tell me when we can mail my son's contact lenses to him. My hubby read somewhere that we can mail them so he has them for PIR, but wasn't sure if it was a week prior or less?
Just made my reservation. Since I am from IL I will probably be at Meet and greet for a little bit, but then will go visit family. I am so excited for our SR's. Bustersmom you will get your call soon!
To RSVP to SARGE'S Meet and Greet you may go up top to the N4M's "toolbar" and click EVENTS. You will see it down the list.
I will also provide a direct link in this post.
