Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 133 and 134

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi J' s mom I am glad to finally find my bf div group. I got my first letter feb 22 fri. He too passed his physical fitness test the first try. We re staying at the navy lodge as well. Are div 133 and 134 going to pir together??

We also received our first mail yesterday. He sounded great. Of course this letter was written before we spoke to him so much of it had already been discussed. LOL! He had something similar happen with his PT test. He was offered to take the test for SWCC an EOD. He is considering both. Looking forward to meeting all of you and your new Sailors in just a few weeks!

Hi to everyone here. So glad you are all receiving mail! Sounds like our SR's are doing well. Received 4letters Friday and
Was told they are working really well as a team. My SR is not the easiest person to get along with but he tells me he has made some great friends already. They take turns marking off the days to PIR. Congrats to J's mom, fantastic news. We will be attending the meet n greet at the Sundance saloon on Thursday night. Anyone attending that? . We also will be car if anyone needs rides.

Hi J's mom, We are also staying at Navy Lodge. Planning Sarge's M&G at Sudance. Driving in from Northwest Ohio. Probably do some Chicago Thursday. We used to live in the Chicago suburbs so we are familiar with the area. If SR wants to go downtown, we'll take the train. Don't want to have to fight traffic or look for parking!! Looking forward to meeting everyone!!

I believe it is. We have never taken from Great Lakes area but it has to be easier than driving and parking, especially on the weekend!! We also are playing by ear after PIR. I know he is going to want to park himself in from of a tv somewhere at least for some of the Sweet Sixteen!!

J's mom, we are flying in early Thursday morning and staying at the
Navy Lodge. Sounds like you have a great weekend planned.
We are just playing by ear and so excited for PIR.

My son is on Ship 03, Division 134. I received my first letter from him last Thursday, February 21st and I spoke to him last Sunday. He was a little home sick but says he is doing great! Aced the physical test, as of last Sunday he said only 34 of 88 in the division had pasted the physical test so far. Said the food was very good, everything was very repetative and that he had a big test today (Feb. 25th) on survival at sea, ship components and master at arms. I saw on the PIR 3-29-13 facebook page that several families got calls yesterday. I was hoping for a call but didn't get it. That made the second call for some of the families. I'm holding my breath for next Sunday maybe! If you all haven't joined the facebook page please do they have some good info and pictures as well. The page name is PIR 03-29-13 TG#20 6 divisions (131-134, 807 and 920). We are flying in from Tennessee on Thursday afternoon and staying at the Residence Inn. Hope to meet some of you while we are there.

Hi "Hope"! Are you going to any of the Meet and Greets! We will be at Sarge's at Sundance. Looking forward to meeting some of you there! Safe travels!!

Hi hope did you get a phone call today. A lot of moms say they did. Around 1:30 pm

Well, I did get a phone call from Boot Camp but it wasn't my son. One of his shipmates called me for him. My son was on Security Watch and could not call so he had one of his friends call me to say that he loved and missed me and was sick that he had to work and couldn't make the call himself. So I am a very disappointed Mom at this moment that I didn't get to talk to him, but on the other hand it was so nice of his shipmate to take away from his phone time to call and let me know. I also got a facebook message from a SR's girlfriend. She told me that her boyfriend wanted to let me know that my son was working and wasn't going to be able to call yesterday, but MAYBE they would allow him another day to call this week since he was on duty. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!! I got the call from his shipmate around 4:50 p.m.

What are code was it from??

Keep your phones close today!

Yay!! Bonus day. I got a letter in the mail from our SR today and just as we were gtting done reading it, the phone rang. It was our SR!!!!! He seems very content and happy with the way things are going. Said he and only a couple of other guys got 50/50 on their test Monday! He was VERY proud. He said that the score earned those guys an extra 30 minute call later this week!!!

In one of my letters I had enclosed one of those Boot Camp questionaires andhe actually filled it out. He said it was fun to see how much I knew about BC. He mentioned several names that I recognize from here so that was fun.

He is such a sports fan and is really bummed about missing the beginning of the NCAA Basketball tournament but is looking forward to watching games the weekend of PIR since it is Sweet Sixteen weekend!

Hope you all get calls but think you can count on it from DIV 133.
