Until then, lets all share our experiences with each other. Our experiences today will help other other new moms and or family members in the future. So lets set a good example, so that our SRs too can be proud of us. jormad - I HAVE SEEN ONE OF THOSE VIDEO!
Is there anyone staying at the Springhill Suites Marriott? It is very close to the Sundance Saloon where Serge has his Meet and Greet.
FTLW- i can't thank you enough for the support & info you provide... My SR's biggest worry was to be sent home due to medical and such... my heart hurts for proudmomma- i can still even picture her smiling photo! prayers sent to her family for the next weeks! (i'm sure when PIR comes around 3/30- will be tough)
aautrey- thanks for the laugh, after reading sad news, the "little brat" comment was hilarious!
Codemansmom,
My son will also be a Nuke. I do not know his ship or div yet. i reserve my h otel at the Navy Lodge it is only $65 a night and no hotel taxes. The rooms look ok on the web site and it has got good reviews on other groups on here. Hope to talk to you more.
Got the form letter today from my son Cody. He is ship 11 div 105 pir 3/30. He will be a Nuke. Missing him so much. Would love to become better acquainted with any mom in the same ship and div or who's son/daughter will be a nuke. We were not a military family so this is all very new. Any suggestions about which town to stay in and the best hotels would be great.
lol, that would be too funny. When my Sailor called once I was shopping in Hobby Lobby waiting in line to pay and I saw that area code and headed straight for the door shopping cart and all lol, When everyone was staring at me for walking out with a cart full of items without paying I held up my phone with tears in my eyes and a huge smile on my face and said it's my Sailor.... Everyone understood and I pushed the cart back inside and went back after my call to pay. It was a very happy I'm a Sailor Call :-)
That is sad about Proudmama, I friended her on facebook and it has a message that her son is being medically discharged. My prayers go out to her and her son.
Tried today to get my son's ship # and Div. # from his recrite but did not have any luck. Just want to be in the know. Miss him so much. It is defenly different then Collage I have one in collage and I can talk to her and facebook her and see what she is up to when she posts on facebook. With him I can not. In fact that is one of the things I miss the most is not seeing his funny comments on facebook everyday. Hope his letter comes soon.
omama and dawny64, I have a list and can give you the info you are looking for on the ribbons. Just send me a friend request on this site or an email to uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com Thanks :-)
jormad I think that bra is a must have lol. I never could feel my phone vibrate in my pocket but I could always feel it if it was tucked under my bra strap hahaha
I booked reservations at the Navy Inn 2 days ago, great prices and good to work with.
I am seeing talk about ribbons, what do I need to know about them? I am a first time Navy Mom and all this navy stuff is new to me and alot to take in, I dont want to miss something important that I should know or be doing.
