Until then, lets all share our experiences with each other. Our experiences today will help other other new moms and or family members in the future. So lets set a good example, so that our SRs too can be proud of us. i just received a phone call from my son, they are medically discharging him. he said it would take about 20 to 25 days and then they would ship him home. why does it take so long, and can i go up and pick him up instead of them sending him home on a bus or plane?
thanks concerned mother
Steph 12/098 Thanks!
LilBigMansMom- I sent one to my son. It was in a white envelope and wasn't a musical card so hopefully it's fine. :)
Will my SR get in trouble if I send him a Valentines Card? I know he'll get it late but I couldn't resist!
Got my form letter yesterday, it was correct from what the recruiter gave me, except the address. I had already corrected it. No note on the back from her, but I bet she was too tired to care!! Or too scared to add anything on the paper that they didnt tell her. It looked like she had to erase and re-write the address. So may not have been too happy...
Folks...if you know your Ship/Div...please go ahead and start your Division Discussions up above. Directions are below. Please only ONE per Division!
How to add a Discussion - Go to the bottom left corner of the DF area (It's actually just above the comment box here.) and click "Add a Discussion".
Fill in the Title and any description you like.
For DIV discussion Titles a suggestion would be:
SHIP ##/ DIV ###
Simple as that! Then the other members from your div can reply and you can connect up even closer there.
Remember that you are ALL part of this TG though and to stay on the main pages to talk here too! Plus, we veteran moms mostly stay on the main pages of the groups. There are 7-8 PIR groups running at one time and so we do not get to the DF's as much. We do check them as often as we can...OPSEC rules apply there also.
I posted his address on a private message to only his close friends on facebook. not to all his 500+ friends. then I posted a message to all his 500+ friends that said that if they wanted to send him a line they could send him a private message and I would print them out and send them to him. that way I wasnt worried about what or who was writting.
Thanks so much ladies, you guys are very kind. I appreciate all of you new moms and families and all my fellow veteran moms friends as well. FTLW you better be smiling friend :-) Goodnight everyone.
Love the ribbons and the scrapbook in a box. Shared with my son's girl friend as well. Will be ordering soon. Thanks for sharing
