Captain...I would do what LaLa said as far as writing and asking your recruit for a date/training day. I am trying to figure out just how accurate the "days" are on the post that was written...since BC can be anywhere from 7-9 weeks.
Well it is not quite as easy as that lol. In the beginning they are in P-Days (processing days) those days can last up to a couple weeks and they don't count as training days. weekends and holidays also do not count toward training days. When you write your next letter ask your recruit what the date is and what training day it is. Then when you get that we can help you figure it out :-) Now, I have helped you can you do my taxes? lal, just kidding.
Just curious... I ran the math on my kids training. The date of her form letter puts her 1-1 day on or about 2-2-2012. I run it out (while accounting for Presidents Day) and I put her 7-5 Day (week seven being Battle Stations) on or about 3-15. Just what exactly do these recruits do with 15 extra days of boot camp???
Good grief!. They ought to be able to sing Anchors Aweigh in four languages in that amount of time.
Added a link to the RTC Website up under the weather widget.
Those of you with SR's that have a rating with a Security Clearance requirement may get a call from them within the first two weeks for additional info.
This is a brief business call...it is monitored. No time for chit chat unless the one monitoring it allows it...very rare. So don't ask a lot of questions please...answer your SR's and squeeze in an "I love you" at the end!
LaLa....love all pics of your daughter...but this one is always cool!
Okay thanks...I love this:

Hi TorisMom, my daughter loves her job as an AO. She chose squadron once she made it to A-school over ship duty. She didn't like the idea of being below deck on a ship all the time. By choosing squadron she gets to do more with the jets. And she loves that. I did lots of research and asked lots of questions while she was at bootcamp and then when she finished bootcamp I knew more about her rate than she did lol. If you have any questions at all or if your daughter has questions just let me know. My daughter is also very helpful when I take questions to her as well. Here is a pic of her with one of the jets she works with. She even has her name on it now but I blacked it out so you can't see her last name :-) Beside her name it looks like it says ADAN but it says AOAN which is her rate :-)
Nukemom, i too, like tori'smom contacted the recruiter who was very personable and gladly emailed the address... helped to get it correctly than over the phone... heard from our SR today due to some technical info needed- a quick 5 mins.sOOooo glad i had gotten my phone fixed yesterday!!!
i had wrote everyday since the address info and SR has not received ANY mail yet... will be like the 17 in one day from another mom- just nice to write about the days events (SR's request) great to hear from you all... never dreamed i'd have this many penpals : )
@FTLW - Sure, re-post whatever you like.
