For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I think I do have a clue..She is getting a little better, but it could be the "calm before the storm" too!! Good for you getting your other 3 raised. What is yourSR div./ship? Good luck!

I am continually amazed at the support and encouragement I've received from this Navy family we are all a part of presently... sure wish we had this kind of forum support helping our youngest to get graduated from HS (raised three others *pat on back* and still trying to figure out why i seem to be speaking a foreign language to her?)

I'm doing quite incredible considering how close my SR & I are... that is until i read the countdown til grad clock *tears*, i'm finding that there are many tear "triggers" out there... looking forward to catching up on past posts this eve : ) ps. @jormad- love the evil grin!

I have added the Weather Widget...it's set for Waukegan which is very close to RTC. It is an interactive widget...play with it! Click anywhere on the header bar to go to a different time of the day and you will see the scene change! Change the date etc...to go back to real time just click LIVE! The forecast comes from the NWS.

I am also a bit of an emoticonaholic...love the little guys...and any other thing I can embed...LOL
