Thank you for that video!!! I definitely cried during that one :-) I can't wait until PIR!!!!
Just watched the video and still crying. I cannot wait til next Friday or even for the Sailor call!
Diannep-thanks so much for posting the video. I am not sure what to expect at PIR but that gave me a good idea. I know now to bring plenty of tissue and prepare my husband and daughter that will be with me. I don't know why it is so emotional but I tear up at the littlest thing. I am glad that I am not the only one. Can't wait for3/30
Thanks so much everyone, you all are so kind. I agree about the words Now hear this.... it was awesome, and the Sailors singing anchors away and being able to hear my daughters voice as she sang with the choir. It was all so amazing and the tears just flowed and flowed. I still cry every time i watch that video and pretty much anytime I watch any of the videos on youtube lol. I am such a softy. I hope you don't have to go to jury duty again Diannep. Most people hate it but I always love it. I think it is so interesting lol.
Can't believe this incredible ride called Bootcamp is almost over. Even though i didn't receive as many letters and calls as i would have liked i made it through with the wonderful support system on this site. And just when i thought i would lose it someone would post something on here to let me know that i wasn't alone in my roller coaster of emotions. Now I'm just waiting for my I am a Sailor call. Can't wait to see my SR and the Young Man he has become. Proud Navy Mom!
I was off the board yesterday too, Lala...had jury duty...finally got on briefly last night. Glad we are both back, but so glad you are enjoying your daughter's surprise visit!
31Mom: The lady who did that PIR video...that is her production company (her son was in the video). That is why it is such an outstanding video. For those that missed it, here it is again:
Lala- Don't be sorry!! That's great that she got to come home. And good to know that it will get easier :)
31mom- Same here.. My family doesn't understand one bit! You guys are the only ones making me feel sane hehe
eyeronics, my own family thinks I am crazy!! lol We just watched your post, diannep. I am going to need a whole box of kleenex next Friday!! That was a great video. I hope someone can do one like that for PIR 3/30. That would be awesome.
Lala, great pic of your sailor. She is gorgeous - have a wonderful visit.
