For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I know we are all looking forward to graduation, and very excited to finally watch our children and or family members become an Official United States, Navy Sailor. Until then, lets all share our experiences with each other. Comment by diannep on March 19, 2012 at 6:25pm: cathie, Yes, I agree with Lala. With no PIR this week, they normally don't have them start then. There will be alot of divisions to get through next week, but they can have up to 4 divisions a night go through.

alismz..I will send you a message. I would love to be part of the P-cola group. I really hope to meet you at graduation but that may be unlikely due to so many people being there. Thanks for starting the group!

Normally they have battle stations for one or more divisions a week before PIR just in case there are some from that week who fail it and have to do it again. But when there isn't a PIR they don't normally have one on Thursday. I hope that makes sense :-)

...BUT, i'm so hoping to run into Capt'n... and assuming 097 will be close by 098... loved the letter to your mom, "I hate this. I think I'm going to die in here. The Company Commander is a lunatic. Don't worry, I'll see you soon".
...still cracks me up!

Please friend request/private message me if you have a date (include division # please). I am keeping a schedule. Especially interested in the start date for this group...which would be the lowest-numbered divisions. I have received a date, just need confirmation. Please don't post them here (not allowed). Comment by diannep on March 19, 2012 at 8:37am: Good morning all. Your gate passes should be up today on the RTC site (link at the top of this page, under weather)...on the Upcoming Grad page. You can print out as many as you like. Check back throughout the day and watch for the link "get gate pass" by your date. Remember, you need the password from your original form letter (type it in ALL CAPS) in order to be allowed to print the pass.
