Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Here last letters where not very informative and being so few and far between I just wish I had more info. about her,how things are going, etc. I'm glad PIR is so close and I can put this waiting game behind me. Because of her job she won't go out on ship for the first two years, that will give me some time to get ready for the no contact again. I am so excited for PIR though, and Proud of all our SR's, just missing my kid.

Don't get me wrong...I love, love, love, my men...but sometimes I just like ...the quiet. Hubby always tries to take everyone for a day once a week but that's not always "doable'!

On another note, why will my SR not send me a letter? She hasn't written since 3/6 and I know she was tired during Hell Week but Jeeeeez!!! She's a girl, she should like writing, and I have asked her a ton of questions in my letters. She should answer her mother!!!
