We'll be easy to spot alismz. My father in law will have figured out a way to let everyone know he was an Annapolis grad, I'll be messing with the honor recruit and my wife will be covering her face while secretly spying on a new family to join.

eyeronics don't listen to him that would be mean, but it is funny lol.

Captain I think your wife would say that was a good answer :-)

The RDC in my daughters division didn't believe that there were white squirrels where we live. She had one week to prove it with a picture. I'm not sure but I think she was threatened with IT but it was said in a joking manor. Needless to say I had to produce the evidence lol. They do exist and here is a pic of one on our front porch. Same pic I sent to her.

Lala.. I'm married. I have no former girl friends. In fact I think its a Navy Reg.

Comment by CaptainFatso on March 12, 2012 at 8:14pm

LOL eyeronics! I am certain that they would never do anything like that anymore.

By the way, you've got some pictures on you and your SR on your profile page.

You know that one where the two of you are wearing superman costumes?

While I HIGHLY recommend that NO ONE in his boot camp division EVER see that picture (especially his RDCs), I would suggest that you keep it as leverage.

It may come in handy. That picture is worth at least 50 trips of him accompanying to greeting card section of your local store without complaint.

In fact, just for fun, tell him that you're having envelopes made with that picture on the outside and that you will be sending future letters to him in those envelopes.

HAHAHA, knowing my SR he would love that... He told me to send him lots of pictures of hm and his friends. I sent him one oh him and all of his friends in superhero costumes... He asked for it! Hope he didn't get made fun of hehehe

Thanks so much eyeronics :-) Glad you like them!!!

Catian, you did not say how your girl did in the contest or if the pic you had was really of your girl lol.

I read that if you miss checking in with them that you can still get a gate pass. The same way you go about getting one when you want to meet a minor at the gate.

Comment by diannep on March 12, 2012 at 8:06pm

omama:  Your sailor (with you with him/her) has to get you the airport gate pass.  This isn't a problem as long as you have proper ID.  They get it from their airlines counter.  It is a special "privilege" for military families.

Comment by eyeronics on March 12, 2012 at 7:52pm

No, I haven't received any "real" information about when my SR flies out. (Going to Pensacola as well)
