Our experiences today will help other other new moms and or family members in the future. So lets set a good example, so that our SRs too can be proud of us. You guys are a great group (shh don't tell the others I said that...LOL I love all the PIR groups!).
We veteran moms just love to see you interact and support each other. I love seeing it still! I only got ONE (do you see that it STILL bothers me, LOL) letter from BC and my Questionnaire back! I am so glad I spent HOURS going through the ones on the sight and came up with a personal one to send to my son! It was a great way to finally have some personal "GOOD" news from him...in the end!
But reading about others mail...yes sometimes it made me very sad...but at least I "knew" what was going on with the division and the whole TG. (I did get a couple of extra Phone calls that the division earned though)
I stayed on this site because this site got me through a 6 month Deployment with hubby and our son enlisting while he was gone. As a reservist wife you don't live on base and have that everyday "likemindedness" of those around you and I discovered that in order for me to be able to support my servicemembers I in turn needed the support.
So here I am...and here I stay...until whenever I need to go!
I have two Jokes from Craig about Marines (I'm not allowed to claim them because I am not Navy or former Navy LOL)
M.A.R.I.N.E. - My A$$ Rides In Navy Equipment
and
The Marines are a division of the Navy...the Famale division.
BWA, HA, HA, HA!
@ Diennep... Sailor's have a word to describe those that "LOVE" boot camp. They're called Marines.
Caryn: It's not the ones who are "struggling" at this point of BC that I worry about...it is the ones who say they LOVE LOVE LOVE bootcamp that makes me concerned! HA! They may love being part of the Navy, but loving bootcamp? I don't think so. It is not "set up" to love. It is set up to turn them into sailors and that can be a rough process!
Yes! I got my first letter today from my sr in div 04/809. I was delighted to get it and he sent one to his little sister too. However, both of the letters were asking about things back home and NOTHING about what it has been like, what they are doing or how it is going so far. Now just hoping to get that first call. Hope all in this division will be receiving letters too. All of our travel arrangements are done. Now we just wait it out. Hang in there. Letters will be coming so hang in there.

@ Steph... The food is great???
What has happened to my Navy? I mean, I told my daughter the food was great before she left, but I thought I was lying!
Well actually the food wasn't bad... Its the appearance that left a lot to be desired. Nothing like a tri-colored meat mixed into a mystery gravy poured over a weirdly shaped biscuit to whet the appetite.
REMINDER to all: no MAIL monday, so get those letters out to our SR's : )
funny capt! so our SR was correct that her 097 is just that!
omama & caryn-same here as lala, i jot down cute things to write each day, and lala would this phase of BC tactic work on turning husbands around? hah!
torismom- congrats on the job news! i reall ylook forward to hearing from you all, check out the For God and Country end of day blessing before tucking in tonight (i pray it for each of us last night!)
((hugs)) to you ladies and fist pump to you capt ; )
