For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Ship 03 (USS Hopper) Divisions 127 and 128 (Brother Divisions)

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 127 and 128

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

The Navy Lodge sounds like it would have been a good choice. I ended up booking at the Courtyard Marriot, as I don't want to rent a car, and they have cabs leaving at several times the morning of PIR, beginning at 6:15 am.....but I think most of the hotels do. I heard the Candlewood was nice. The Quality Inn, which would have been my 1st choice was all booked! Good luck!

My SR is in Division 128. He goes to Monterrey for A school. I guess I should join the FB group. My SR's aunt and uncle, as well as his sister will be at PIR. We all just want to spend time with him. Can't think beyond that day yet!

Received our first (besides the I'm here) call Sat from our Son.. He was having a rough day.. we both did not know weather to laugh or cry with excitement so we did both.. He said I just can't help it mom.. It was so good to hear from him, I try to remember our conversations but it went so fast I can barely remember. Please pray for strength for our Son as like most this is his first time away and we are a close Family.

Hi everyone! My son left for the navy not speaking to me or his father. We haven't been able to join in on all the exciting moments as we have not heard from him. I just got his address yesterday by calling the recruiter. He is in div 127. I have heard that he is going to San Antonio after PIR but don't know what for. The recruiter couldn't tell me. I'm going to start writing him but not sure if he will respond. Any pics or info on his div would be a blessing. Thanks!
