Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 125 and 126
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

I wonder if they received mail today? The letters that came in on Saturday? This would be there first mail day!

My SR mentioned in his call that tomorrow they will have the physical test and swim test. I pray that all our SR's do well tomorrow. I think the hardest part is waiting to see how they do and not being able to celebrate and support them.

When I talked to my daughter Saturday, she had already taken and passed her swim test...yeah... but she is having trouble with her knuckles cracking.... It felt so good to hear her voice!

Diana - ncquiltgirl has a son in our DIV too. I was hoping more mom's would join this group. Are your planning to travel in for PIR? We have reservations at the Navy Lodge. It is very close to the base.

I see it's just me and you ;-) and we are flying in on Wed the 2nd we will be staying in downtown Chicago .....they are only allowing four people I'm short by 1 I wonder if that will change

We are driving down from Wisconsin on Thursday night. My son is an officer in the Army and he and his wife will be joining my husband and I for the ceremony. Did you get two form letters from your son? One with the incorrect PIR date and another with the correct date? We did. On his first letter he put everyone's name down correctly (I was really proud). On the second letter he put down "mom and dad". I hope the entrance list is based off the first letter!
