Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 149 - 150

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Good Morning, I got a letter from my son this past Friday.  When we last spoke to him he had not received our letters and cards. Does the recruits receive mail on Saturdays? We live several states away from where he is so that may be adding extra time.  I guess the weather could play a factor too its still very cold there in the mornings.

We think that mail is delivered to them only on M-F.  They can mail out on Mondays (collected Sundays).  I have a feeling you are right....the bad weather up there probably is affecting the timeliness of the mail right now.  I hope the weather gets better up there soon!

Hello! My son is ship 13 division 149. He called today and sounded good.Just booked tickets for PIR today!

Hey Julie,

That is the same as my son!!! I got a call today too. I can't wait to see him. I'm also glad to see another mom from the same ship and division. :)

Hi to all the moms of SRs from div 149 & 150.  My son is in ship 13 div 149. Its been really tough not to get a call for 3 weeks.  Hoping we all get a call tomorrow. Its down to the last 3 days waiting to find out if we are going to PIR or not. I think that is the toughest part. Thought I would reach out to see how other Moms in this 149-150 group are doing.

ProudMomma50, my son is on Ship 13, Div 150. I am sorry, but at the same time so glad to hear that you also have not received phone calls. I was beginning to think something was wrong and have not been sleeping at night. Now maybe I can rest easy. Are you attending PIR on Friday?

Hi Kim*CD's*ProudNavyMom, yes we will be there if we get the call.  I am new to this so don't know if we can count on him graduating if they have went this far.  Hoping tomorrow we will receive the "Im a Sailor" call. Thank you for responding.  This last week has been full of sleepless nights for me too.  Didn't prepare yet for weeks with no word. I knew once they get assigned duty or were on a ship that would happen but not in BK.  I guess we will be pros in handling this after this week. :)

http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/faq_family.asp Have you been to to this website? They say if you don't get a call, no news is good news. They are on battlestations now and only call home if not graduating. You can call the recruiter for more info also.

I'm a Sailor Calls for these divisions should be coming in at any time now.  They went through last night (Mon).  If no call is received, and you DID NOT get a "didn't pass my final PFA (fitness test), won't graduate" call, then DO go on no news is good news.  Some of them may have "watch" today and won't make the call today.  Hopefully all can though.  If not today, then tomorrow!

HOOYAH... just got our "I'm a Sailor" call! Happy dance, happy dance! I am so excited, words cannot express how I feel right now! I am bursting with pride.
KIM CD PROUD: congrats ! What's ship and div, my son is ship 02 div 923 no call yet

So proud of ship 13 DIV 149!!! Proud of all of our sailors!
