~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Good morning Navy sisters!!

hope all had a great weekend! I must start by saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Angelina!!! hope you have a fabulous day!!

quick story to share...On Friday when I got home from work, there was a flat cardboard wrapped package that arrived in the mail addressed to my daughter from the Navy Photo Lab. I opened it up and it was The Keel and my eyes just filled with tears. I took a deep breath and sat down at my kitchen table to start looking thru at and then my phone beeps...it was a text from my Sailor!! I was like OMG! She said that she would prob. have a chance to call me later. God works in mysterious ways!!! So I continued on and looked thru the book and all the pictures and then when I got to her division...the tears started again!! The pages had her division 145 and brother division 146. Just made me think of this whole journey up til now and how much more is still to come. Gosh, I am so proud of her and admire her courage. About an hour later, my phone rang and it was her!!! Her voice was music to my ears. It was a short convo but I'll take it! Nowadays I don't know when the call will come but when it does, I cherish everyone second of it. Luckily we were all home so she got to chat with daddy and her little brothers too.

May God watch over our Sailors and bless our great nation!

I Hope that everyone has had contact with their Sailor.

mitch7790 - have a great time with your guy!!
