~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

30 days to go! This thime next month we will all be sitting at PIR. Hopefully.

I believe the lowest numbered divisions will be on Training week/day 3-5 this Thurs, starting Training Week 4 (Hell Week) on Friday.  The other divisions will be starting Week 4 next week.  It is a very busy and tiring week...up earlier, lots of inspections, etc.  But when they are done with it, they only have two more weeks and then they are SAILORS!  At the end of training week 6....when they go through Battlestations!  Hooyah!

Comment by Sammy on March 17, 2014 at 10:30pm

Yep, 4-1 should be Friday so I think they start with another PFA test.

Comment by Michelle-Reese's Mom (S14, D146) on March 17, 2014 at 10:24pm
Sammy. That's the same day I figure. 3-2 so Hell Week will start Friday?

Spencer - my husband said in his last letter that they were on day 2-1 as of March 7, so today should be day 3-2 for them. At least for Div 146 I guess, not sure if all divisions are on the same day

Comment by ellen0502 on March 17, 2014 at 9:32pm

Spencer'smom, Probably closer to end of training week two start of week three, if I counted back correctly.

Comment by Letitraine on March 17, 2014 at 7:57pm

I didn't get one either Huntersmom and I missed mine last week :( and I spoke to her boyfriend's mom and he is getting letters that aren't as sugarcoated as mine. Saying that it is really tough and it sucks and she doesn't feel like she can do anything right. I'm just sending my love in letters

Comment by Spencer'smom on March 17, 2014 at 7:51pm

I believe we are in week four, correct?  From what I've read over on  the Navydep site, this is a tough week for our SR's--they call it the 'second most eventful week of bootcamp'. Firearms training, testing on everything they've learned up to this point, waking them up at 3:30 am...They call it "He-- week".   Has anyone else read this?
