Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Traysea hang in there!!!! Your letter will come. I know how hard it is waiting and wondering. There were a couple of days that first week when I was filled with anxiety and I could hardly sleep. We just have to remember how incredibly busy their days are. I feel the most peace at night...when I can picture my SR in his bunk asleep. Hugs to you mama!!!!

Hello Navy Sisters in DIV 151! May of ourr SR's 1st writing day was Sunday. Letter got mailed out Monday..... so tomorrow and Thursday are more than likely the first REAL letters we will get from our SRs!
Have faith! Almost half way there to another Friday countdown!

Don't get down...haven't gotten a letter yet either. Remember sometimes no news is good news. I know they a working very hard...they're extremely tired.

Springhill Suites or Courtyard Inn would be good choices for you, Lainey. Both have pools (Courtyard's is indoor)....and they are right by a large Walmart shopping center with restaurants, etc.

im trying to make reservations I heard the Navy Lodge is good but I have an 8 yr old that would love to go swimming..lol..i'd also like to be near shopping/restaurants so it would be within walking distance if i decide not to rent a car..any suggestions? I was looking at Ramada but someone had said thats not in the 'greatest' of areas...im just so confused...I for sure want to be somewhere safe being that its just my daughter and I coming..ya know
