~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Ok, found the post by NavyWife.  Never heard of an entire division having to retake BattleStations before in the 4 yrs I have been on here....so not sure about this.  We will have to wait and see who calls this afternoon.

I'm so lost. Did div 163 complete their BS yesterday? & should I still expect a call today? I cancelled all of my plans today so that I could be open for that call...
Comment by diannep on April 29, 2014 at 1:33pm

Where is that post, navylovem?

Comment by navylovem on April 29, 2014 at 1:26pm

diannep: No, someone commented and said that a person got hurt so the whole group had to take BS again. I just can't wait till my sailor calls, then I can stop worrying.

Comment by diannep on April 29, 2014 at 1:13pm

navylovem:  Are you talking about people who didn't pass their final PFA (fitness) and who are still trying to pass?  Those would be the ones who are trying it again tomorrow (Wed).  They will pass BattleStations....even if they have to do it again.  But the final PFA can hold some of them up---they can't do BattleStations until they pass the final PFA.

...but....also ask Sarge at the MeetandGreet...he may know of a cheaper place nearby to park.

wifeofasailor:  I agree with ellen....if he is in RCU, no, he will not graduate Friday but later once he heal---but if he is still trying the run, he gets to try in the morning again.  Hoping that if you don't hear from him again today and call RTC tomorrow, they can give you a little info....like ellen said, they don't normally give out much info.  They normally tell you that when a SR calls and says "won't be graduating, don't come", you should not go to GL unless you get another call saying that that your SR is graduating.  I know it is awful to be in "limbo" with your plans, but we have seen families cancel their reservations, only to find that their SR is now a sailor and will graduate.  Hoping that one way or another, you have some info by tomorrow.

If in RCU, prayers for quick healing and moving on with bootcamp!

wifeofasailor, There are a couple things that could be happening with your husband. He either isn't passing the PFA because of his ankle injury and has been put into FIT, or they have moved him to the RCU to heal.

If he was put into FIT he should have at least one more opportunity to pass the PFA before Friday, and then run BS with the next group going through. I wouldn't cancel your plans yet. I would also call the PAO no earlier than late Wednesday afternoon. They can't give you much information,  and all you can ask is if he is on track to graduate on Friday. They can't/won't give you more than a yes or no answer probably, but you will at least know that part.

If he was put into the RCU he will be placed with another division when his ankle has healed, if that is the hold up.

Your husband may be given the opportunity to call you again in the next few days.

Remember, the true goal of BC is not PIR, it is to become a SAILOR, and he is still on the road to that goal!!!

Sending a prayer his way!!!

Good Morning to you ALL

I am confused and emotional this a.m. my husband called yesterday around 6pm saying that he will not graduate b/c of his ankle which he sprained 2wks prior to today and he stated that he will not graduate this Friday. I need help to understand what is next etc??? he was only able to talk talk for 2min. I did read that they get more chances and if he passes by thursday then he will graduate but not be able to participate in the ceremony but will have liberty. Does anyone know if that is true or not b/c he didnt mention that..he was just so upset/sounded pretty hurt and of course I am very hurt but didnt let him know that
