Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 175 and 176.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I got my letter on Wednesday (yesterday). Maybe he ran out of envelopes or stationery.? I know the last letter my SR sent to me said - P.S. I'm out of ______

I thought to myself 'you've got to be kidding me!!!'  I ran to wal-mart and shipped him stuff the next morning. OR somehow mail could have gotten delayed. Hoping you get mail today.

For those  in 14/176 that will be attending meet and greet thursday night I need your SR's first name please. You can email me this or go onto facebook and see a current picture of the flag.

My SR's name is Chris.  Thanks a lot and see you there!!!  In Solidarity, marika.

Hi Marika. I hope you had some good quality time with your husband.

Unfortunately, no. It was very sad and lots of tears. He did not want me to go to the airport. Did not tell me at what time was his flight for San Antonio, TX. However, he told me that his A school would be for 18 weeks, rather than 14 weeks that i read and everyone has been talking about. I am confused and have no way to find out. I asked people but no one responded to me. Time will tell what is going on. He was very irritable and we could not find each other for more than 2 hours after PIR. I went to a wrong bldg. rather than NEX. At the end he said that his liberty ends at 7:00, because he had to change another Sailor, so his Commander could go home. I have no way of verifying either.

What about you? How was your after PIR liberty time with your son? Where did he go to A school? Do you know of any answers that i mentioned above? Thank you for asking and let's keep in touch. Take care and be well, in solidarity, m.

Sorry to hear about what you went through. I know that everyone's school is different on how long it takes. I know Oryan will stay for 62 days once he starts school. Some might have a two week or longer holding time before classes start. This might be why his is longer.

Oryan stayed in Great Lakes for school so we did not leave till Monday. We said out goodbyes on Sunday. It was very nice. they are different people now though. I asked my son if he knew your husband and he said that he is very private and did not like to talk about his personal life. which some men are.  Everything will be ok for you. :)

Thank you for writing back to me dear proudmama. This is very important to know anything about my husband, since he is like a wall, that i can seem to bring down. I was not clear, did you say that your son is very private and does not like to talk about his personal life, or you meant your son said he knew my husband Chris and Chris was very private and did not like to talk about his personal life? The reason i am asking, because when i asked my husband about his classmates/shipmates, he also would not comment on anyone. He said it is none of my business and definitely not yours to know. Everything what happened there stays there. So your answer could go either way. Did anyone knew, Chris was even married? What else your son could say about Chris. Does he know that maybe someone else he talked about or anything? Please help me!!! Does your son know, whether this is true that Chris had to be there by 7pm? Does your son know at what time they left for the airport or for how long the A school was? Did he make any friends or talked about anything? Chris is a very kind person and i know he did not alienate himself from the group. He is social and likeable. Otherwise, he is a really special person and a human being. I really love him very much, but it is very hard for me. The Navy is really very lucky to have him!!! He is a right man for the job!!! Nonetheless at the expense of me/us!!! Please write to me and tell me as much as you can, take care, m.
