OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE - 2020**

Due to COVID there is no public PIR. The graduations are on Thursday, and the video of the graduation is posted on RTC's FaceBook on Friday at approx 3pm. Please keep in mind that a division may need to complete additional quarantine during training which will delay their graduation.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 173 - 174

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Wahoo!  My son is DIvision 173 and his also going to Pensacola for A school too!

My son is in 174 as well. Headed to Nuke School too. We got a call from him on the 28th. He said all is well, but everyone has a cold. He is a pretty decent artist, and is painting the division flag.

I got a phone call today, which I didn't anticipate since we are only a little over 2 weeks from arrival. So excited to hear his voice, which sounded great. He says he has made a lot of friends and that's the best thing about it. I feel so much better :)

Hooray for the pone call! We got one too!

I got a call today from my husband too! It was only a 17 minute call but it was wonderful hearing his voice :) He is in division 174.

It was so nice to hear my sweet boy's voice today. My heart fell when he told me his shoulder is sprained, but he said he's ok and it's not going to hold him back as of now. Praying for healing and can't wait to get our letters this coming week.

My son is Division 174.  His rate is FC and will be staying in GL for A school

My son rate us ABS div 174 and Im starting to fall apart again because I haven't recieved a phone call or letter

Did you receive his "I'm here call" and his box yet?

My son is in 174 too. Sorry you haven't heard from him. We got a call on Saturday, and he said the Sunday would be the first day they could write. You should get a letter this week sometime. No news is good news for now. Hang in there!
