Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 171 and 172

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

we are gonna keep trying

So sorry we didn't win this week ladies, but at least we have more chances to win coming up!  Every time I get back to my desk and see it posted, some one has already answered!  Hope all is well in the meantime!!

HI Div 171 & 172, I will submit the head count to reserve our divisions tables next Friday, April 25th, to Sarge for the Meet & Greet. If you have not yet responded please do so soon, even if you only have an estimate on how many will be in your group.

Thanks,

Teri

Not sure if we will make it there until later, but let's say 5.

Hi Teri. I sent you a friend request. I would like to RSVP to the meet and greet and help as well. I have a Sam's club membership so I can help them alleviate expenses. Can't wait to meet everyone! Can you message me when you can? Thanks for organizing this! :)

Hello all! Well I learned a big lesson. Over two weeks ago I told my SR it was ok that he had not written yet and I am now learning I should not have said that because I am sad I haven't received one. I told him it was ok because he was sick for a long time, he was doing watch and studying for a test and everything else they had to do. I did not want to add any more stress or worry on him. Which is the right thing to do for our children right? We put them first. The Navy life is his goal and commitment and I could not be prouder. He wants to do the best he can and I didn't want to distract him from that. Feeling sad over my decision : ' (

I'm sorry Teri!

This is just all so much harder than I think we all thought it would be. We want to be strong and tell them that it's okay if they don't write us or call us. That we know they have very little free time and not to worry about us, but then it nearly kills us greeting an empty mailbox, or waiting by the phone when everyone else is getting calls.

It's not selfish to wish they would think of us, but you can be sure he is thinking about you. That he is grateful that you understand how tired he is and how you know he needs the extra rest, studying or just free time during their Sunday writing time.

My daughter had told me she has soooooooo much paperwork that she has very little time to write, up until this week the only letters I have received from her was the first letter that contained 5 sentences and then two "fill in the blank" letters I had sent to her. I have to admit I was kind of sorry I had sent her so many fill-in the blank letters, because I wanted a "real" letter so bad. But I realized that was silly, I am still getting info and I know she is doing well.

You might try sending him one of those questionnaire/fill in the blank letters with a SASE so he can still keep you up to date, but it will only take him a few minutes.

Big hugs!!
Good morning fellow Navy Moms!
Today is Trivia Tuesday! :)
Let's win a picture our SR's!
In Facebook, like the US Recruit Training Command Center FB page and at around noon (maybe sooner) they will post a trivia question. Be the first to answer correctly and they will post a picture of the division of your choice (preferably,Div 171). :))

We can do it!

ATTN…. tomorrow is Trivia Tuesdays lets do this DIV 171 :)

Yup!! Let's to this!! I am trying to get as many of my FB friends to participate in Trvia Tuesday as I can!

Go Div 171!!!! :)

I got a call tonight, this was the first time I wasn't home. :-(

She passed her PFAs!! :-)

I never doubted she would, she is amazing!!

Woohoo! That is great Maureen!! :)

Did she mention when he Battlestation Test would be? I wonder if 171 & 172 will take it together.
