~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Feel free to look me up on facebook ; )
So glad it worked out for you, nancynature!
Congrats to your new sailors!
What an amazing weekend although not long enough with my Sailor! I am not sure how this past weekend would have gone without the help of this website and these amazing moms! Thank you all!
For those of you that helped me find out about the wheelchairs - Thanks!! My wheelchair Sailor was very helpful. He took me to the divsion section I needed to be in and then came back for me after the graduation. :) I wouldn't have been able to do all that walking on crutches.
I too was glad to meet so many moms this past weekend! It was wonderful seeing my sailor again! What a wonderful ceremony!! All of the new Sailor's did a wonderful job!
If I had it to do over, I would have gone to the airport later so I could have stayed until it was time for him to leave.
It was so nice to meet some of you ladies at PIR this past weekend!
All I know is there are signs glued to the bench saying reserved for RDC families. If we had known we could have sat there we would have since our sailor was right up front. It was a little upsetting that people came in last min and just sat there no matter what the sign said but we could see so we didn't let it wreck the day.
GingerMom: Hmmmm....had never heard that the 1st bench was for RDCs family. When we were there, long time ago, the people sitting on that bench had new sailors. Thanks for the updated info!
got home late last night. It was a wonderful PIR! We were so prepared because of this site and all the veteran moms! Thank you for all the time you take in bringing us from basket cases to Proud Navy Mom's! All the info prepared me for the whole day. Taking the van from the hotel was great we were like 20th in line to get in the gate. We sat on the second seat of the bleachers (first bench is for RDC family) Be prepared for people to jump down to the first bench when it starts if RDC family doesn't come. Our sailor was right up front holding one of her DIV flags so we got to see her the whole time! That was the best hug when it was over! Time after went too fast but we did go to the airport to see her off. It was fun hearing all the stories from the other sailors. Thank you again N4M's!

just received a text from my sailor he just arrived in San Antonio for A school. I was a little disappointed not being able to have spent much time with him but I know he will do well
