Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Good Morning!  Hoping everyone had a great Mother's Day!  It was rough for me, apart from my son being away, I lost my Mom 3 years ago, but my girls made it very special for me.  I, too was hoping for  a call, but haven't spoken to him in over 3 weeks.  I did receive his coin in the mail Saturday.  It's exciting that we only have 2 weeks and 4 days to go!  Have a blessed day.

Good morning Navy Moms,

We are closing in on 17 days..it just can't get here fast enough.

Mother's Day was a little tough around here..you see, my dear sweet Mother-In-Law was stricken at our Mother's Day outing and was transported to the hospital..this wonderful 81 year old lady was planning to fly out with us for my sons PIR..please join me in praying that she will be well enough to make that trip to see her grandson..Thank you ladies.. I truly appreciate your support!

My SR wrote......to his grandma. I have gotten one phone call but my mom so treasures that letter and I'm glad if he had time for just one, it was for her. I'm flying in for his PIR and am counting down the days.

Hey Debbie,

I heard through the grapevine that there might be phone calls tomorrow. I am praying that it's true. I would do anything to hear from my man. It's been too long.
