Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Finally got the rental car set up today. Something I do not understand though, I was never taken to a page to put my card info. in. So I guess it's just like reserving a car and you actually pay for it when you arrive and go to the rental car counter? Veteran moms, is that right?
Also, the company I went with lets you "reserve" with a debit/check card, but when you arrive and actually make the transaction at the rental counter, you have to use an actual credit card. Just wanted to pass that on. I dont' know if all rental car agencies are like that or not.
Diannep, thanks for the information about Mother's Day. If I do not get a call, while disappointed, I will now understand why. Thanks.
Does each Division have a Medical Yeoman?
Just remember, ladies, not all can call on Mother's Day. Sorry....but with over 5,000 SRs/sailors on the base, there is not time. Keep that phone handy just in case because some should be able to call at some point. But no guaranteed calls for Mothers day weekend.
Hi Momwhoisproud, I hope you're doing well!
I think that we all might get calls next weekend, since It's Mother's Day!
I read somewhere that the Navy is good for letting them call, but I do not know for sure.
The Blue Candle my version -- Today at church I took home a candle that was blessed. I am Byzantine Catholic a tradition in our rite I will light it for our SR's and all the others. May the Lord watch over them Help them to be Strong and Brave and to complete this amazing Journey.

Krow's Mom, Red is the color that has been used to honor all of our military. There is also RED Friday where everyone wears Red to show support for all those deployed until they all come home :) Other than that Red is part of our colors of Red, White, and Blue :) I think a lot of people choose what colors they want based on what they like. Let me know if you have any other questions at all :)
I hope everyone had a good weekend :) Sorry I was MIA, My bestfriend/sister-in-law is battling breast cancer and just had a double mastectomy last Monday. The tests from the lymph nodes were good :) Now just waiting to hear when she will start chemo. My niece is raising money and walking in Relay for Life this coming Friday night so I have been making stickers for her to sell to raise more money and ribbons for all 45 people on Team Deb to wear. Please keep her and and all the others who are fighting this terrible disease in your thoughts and prayers. We really appreciate it :)
