Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 930

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Should I be worried no one heard from my son? I know how bad he wanted to talk to his girlfriend. He wrote her he would be calling today. But no call.
Did he have wisdom teeth pulled?

I heard from my son last week and he stated that Division 930 will not be marching with the other divisions during graduation?  Instead they will be manning the rails, doors, etc. and not participate in the ceremonies with the other divisions.  Has anyone else heard this?

My son has told me the same thing that he is on rail guard and will not be marching with everyone else.

I find this disheartening because I am a veteran after 23 years and I know how proud I was the day of my graduation being able to march out in front of my family and show them what I have learned.  Now my son, who has made the decision to follow in my footsteps, does not get that opportunity, instead he has to stand up in the crowd with all the family members and make sure people do not cross the yellow line, it's just not right.

Is it just me - I am extremely upset that our SR's will not be on the floor participating!  Whats the point of purchasing a DVD when our recruits will not be on it?  So disappointing.

For anyone interested:

I have created a Facebook group for our SR's division and PIR date. It's a way for all of us to stay in touch with each other and relay messages about our recruits.

It's called Families of SHIP 02 DIV 930 - PIR 06/06. Please feel free to join.

It has come in handy for us on several occasions. We were able to inform each other of calls that were coming and if one of our recruits were sick and unable to call. = )

Thank you Ashley for doing that.

Ashley, I tried to find the facebook page and I am getting nothing.

I made it a closed group, but you should be able to search for it. Did you type it in exactly the way I wrote it?

yes I did I cut and paste it from you post, but no success.

You're welcome. :-) Did you find the group?
