Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 195 and 196

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My son is in this too. He left the 14. I haven't received anything yet. Just the information letter. I check the mail daily. He is ship 13 div 196

Jennifier - you haven't received the box yet?  Ours came FedEx (if that info helps). But we've only received the box and the form letter.  One phone call from him to my husband needing more info for security/background check because he will be an IT/ATF.

My son will be staying in Great Lakes for A school

Are there any Mom's (or spouses) of future sailors in ship 13 div. 195 or 196 that will be a RP?

(Religious Program Specialist- Chaplain's bodyguard and right hand man).

I'm wondering if they try to group them together by rate when able.

We got letter yesterday. Div 195. Had call this morning needing info sent.  Said next call should be Saturday when he could talk more.

Fingers crossed they'll be able to call us on Saturday!  I've been carrying my phone around like it's my life support machine - waiting, just in case... :-/

Glad I'm not the only Mom that's crazy glued to the phone, lol! I'm sleeping with it, too! And yesterday when it rang while I was working out at Curves I jumped off the machine and sprinted over to my phone so fast that I'm sure I scared some of the ladies there, lol!! Unfortunately it was a false alarm, not him :-/

Lol Me too. I feel like a teenager taken my cell with me everywhere I go.
How did you find out they may call Saturday?

What kind of info are they needing? I haven't gotten a call yet. :(

More background information
My SR called today needing more information. I was over the moon just to listen to him talk it brought back memories of when he was a kid (first day of school) and him telling what the teacher said he needed. I tried to gauge his emotional level and after listening to his instructions I am pleased to say I think I am stressing more then him. I am still smiling because he sounds fine. I am hoping he needs more stuff so he can call again.
