Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 195 and 196

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

What kind of info did he need? I haven't gotten a call yet, but I sent him off with an address book for the IS background check so maybe that's why? Sure wish I could hear how he's doing! Week 2 is harder than week 1 for the waiting game...ugh!

I did not get a call yet either.. I got a information letter about graduation today
I think for the background check but he didn't say why he needed it

Thanks, GrannyP, so glad you got to talk to him! Hoping to get a call this weekend. Is your SR going into IS also?

Yes he is

I am wondering if the sailors that are going to Nuke school leave straight after graduation. Will they not get any Liberty after graduation?

Looks like we've got a group of bright SR's in these divisions! Going on to Nuke or IS :)

Have any of you guys joined the Navy link that has Tuesday's Trivia game where the first person that guesses the question right can have their SR Division group picture posted.

I tried to answer it on Tuesday.  Tried being the appropriate word!  It was hard. :-/

I've started reading up on the Navy but nothing is sticking.

I'm wondering how often everyone is writing to their SR's?  My son was told by the recruiter all the juicy stuff about the RDC's using the mail for IT. So, we were giving strict instructions from my son to do nothing that would make him stand out to the RDC.  He only wanted one envelope with all the letters from the family in it, and requested 3 letters total.  I told him I'd send him 8 letters. lol  So far I've sent one from myself and one from his sisters.  I'm feeling like one a week is good...but I'm conflicted because I can picture his little face being sad if he doesn't get mail, but I can also picture his little face mad if I send too many!  lol

What I am doing is giving my SR the week in review. Basically the highlights and let read between the lines just incase the letter falls into the wrong hands. So I mailed my first letter on Monday and I am adding things to the 2nd letter now that will be mailed on Monday.
