DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Thanks, Lisa! It makes it easier to know we can support eachother, yes, a letter is exactly what we need, so frustrated when nothing in the mail today. Hopefully this week sometime. I just want to know how they are feeling and doing, and then I can get some peace. And depending on God has been the only way I have gotten through these last two weeks! Praying for you and every one that is missing their child!
having a sad day today. got her call yesterday and was strong for her but I guess im having a delayed reaction! I miss her so much. when I go to the store I see all the things I used to see her buy, or buy for her or that she liked, I see her imprint in every thing around me. I know its just a down day, I have to stay positive, just wondering if anyone else gets these feelings! I hate missing her, it feels awful.
*Write extra letters, not "it"---sorry about that!
Write it extra letters at this point, Christinasmom, and remind her that Bootcamp is not supposed to be easy, encourage her, and remind her that A School is a totally difference scenario! She will like that much better....more like a college atmosphere....with more rules, but more freedom too!

Beertjes: You are very welcome! You think maybe we N4Moms veterans should become recruiters? Don't think we would make it....we are TOO HONEST and tell it like we know it! :-)
Jacob94mom: It may be better for you to post a comment on Sarge's MeetandGreet page and mention how many will be attending from your family.
Nadinejune41 keep your chin up! it wont be much longer. Got a phone call to get her routing number from bank yesterday. No letter yet, but she is excited to be getting mail soon! She said she would call in a week, keep your phone close, got her call about 2:30 pm central time. Hang in there! Not much longer!
