Anyone have a daughter in this group? I got my daughter's letter yesterday letting me know she is in this group.

Happy Friday All!
Can you believe they are almost done! I am so excited. Is everyone attending a Meet & Greet? If so, which one will you be going to?
See everyone soon!
I was just thinking , it's almost over, can't wait. I was also just reading a letter from him, seems like they are getting busier now than they were in the beginning. He can't wait to be done, says he's looking forward to just doing his job. I think he misses his computer and cell phone the most. lol
I don't know when the meet and greets are, but I'm thinking the night before? I won't be able to make it , if it's the 14th, I'll be driving out there. Is there a list for them?
Have a good day!
Teresa B's mom,
Looks like there is on the page for PIR June 15th. I saw something when I logged on today. I am hoping for a letter today and maybe even a call this weekend.
Wow..I can't believe we are only two weeks away from PIR!
We are going to the Meet & Greet at Sarge's on Thursday night.
Did you letters say what date the final PDF and gas chamber will be? I think it is either today or Thursday. DIV 180 was today. I'm not sure if they do everything on the same day or not.
Do you know the battlestations date? My daughter said possible call on Sunday.
They say the Sarge's is the best. I haven't decided if I am going to go to any of the meet and greets. Just going to play that by ear.
I got a letter from my daughter today. She started the letter with "I'M FINE" and they told me she had been really sick and had to go the hospital. She had a bad cough and by the time she decided to go to sick call, they were closed so she had to go to the VA hospital. She ended up with a diagnosis of sinusitis (sp?). They sent her back to base with meds and a day of bed rest and she stressed that none of this will interfere with graduation. She said it was nice to get some extra sleep. She said she is staying strong - which is what I always tell her - she said that was part of the problem. She kept ignoring the cough until she couldn't handle it anymore. :-)
She said everything else is good. She said that firefighting and the gas chamber were this week.
Wow, I can't wait for the next 2 weeks to speed by!
My daughter was excited for the firefighting as well. I had to laugh as she said the firing range did not go well!
I hope your daughter is feeling better. I cannot imagine how hard it is when you are ill.
The last line of her letter said I cannot wait for "Battle Stations" ! Hope to get a call today.
Ladies,
I just got a call from my Recruit. She gave me the date of BS. We aren't supposed to put this in this chat room, so add me as a friend and I can send it to you privately.
Thanks,
JB
jitterbug,
Just got my call and your email as well. My daughter is worried they are not ready. How did your daughter sound? I know this is a lot of pressure. I told her stay strong and do not worry.
YL51
She sounded really good. She said she is feeling much better. She said the same thing about BS, but I told her to just do what she has been trained to do and it will be fine. I don't have a blue candle so I will be saying a lot of prayers this week! Not many more days and I will get to see her and give her a huge hug.
Same here..seems so worried about the run..
Call was about 7 minutes or so. I think they will be fine..just nerves..
Hi Ladies.
I agree Shelbysmom. I know my daughter worries and is a perfectionist. She said they were going to get a 30 min. call but something happen in inspection and calls were cut to approx. 10 mins. I told her hang on, your are almost done..the end is near!
I got a short call from my son. He said the gas chamber was rough. Battle stations soon, he said after that he should be able to call more often. He said they might even be able to go online for a little while. I think they will all do fine, just nerves, I'm sure they have them all stressed out about it.
Not much longer and we'll be out there to watch them graduate.
