So, so sorry, KCs mom........I was really praying hard that it wasn't serious...I'm surprised it took so long for him to call; surely they must have x-rayed it right away??? But you are of the right frame of mind.....down but not out for the count!  He will get better, and yes.....it could be a lot worse.  If it ends up being fall when you go, perhaps you could plan for a little extended time-frame and drive there......enjoy the beautiful fall scenery along the way!  Heck, rent a convertible......book just a returning flight if you don't want to be on the road for so long.  I'm sorry we won't get a chance to meet...but I would like to keep in touch!

Ok, I'm pm-ing you two for the addresses if you don't mind.  I would love to write to your guys.

It could be that they have so many sick or injured SRs right now that some are living in a different ship, but still a part of the Ship 6 group.  I'm not sure.
Comment by Squeekerz on May 31, 2011 at 9:12pm

Yes, I have his new address. :)

And yeah... everything I've read on the groups here, Ship 06 was the RCU address in the past or something.  I dunno.  It confused me too.

Well, I'm still trying to figure out if this group covers all sick and injured recruits. It would be a start for you.
Comment by diannep on May 31, 2011 at 9:11pm

Do you have his new address yet, Squeekerz?

Comment by KC'smom on May 31, 2011 at 9:11pm

even if his address is ship 4?

KC'sMom:  Make sure to join this group.  Squeekerz is already there:

Link isn't working but to go "Groups" up top, then type into the search box:

Ship 6, sick or injured recruits.

The group should come up.  Should get some info there.

I'm sure some encouragement would be appreciated.  My letters since he was injured haven't been as upbeat and silly as they were towards the beginning. :P

Squeekerz:  Do you have your SR's new address?  Do you think he would like letters from some of the ladies on here?  If so, we can private message you for the address when you have it.
