Thanks for the tips about the pictures!  She requested pictures, which indicated to me that she was allowed to have them.  I never thought about a collage....great idea, Jessica's mom!!  Holidays are the worst.......I'm really missing her this weekend.  Normally we'd have everyone over.......grill going, kids playing in the pool.....music....but this has been a big season of change.  Kids all went seperate directions, so it's just hubby and I sitting around looking at each other with that "what do we do now?" look.  I can't bear to go anywhere in case that darned phone rings!  I suppose she would think to call my cell phone if there was no answer at home, but I'm thinking.......does she know my cell phone number??  It was in her phone so she probably never felt the need to memorize it.  Wow.  I need help.  =P

Jessicasmom's way of sending pictures is the right way.  Less space to store a sheet of paper with a collage of piks.  I sent my son piks printed on computer paper too when he was there...no problem.  Print them on the back of the letter if you can.

I sent regular 4x6 prints and my daughter didn't get in any trouble at all. The RDC's actually like seeing their pics from home. They are limited on space so I wouldn't send a lot. And you can print them on reg paper so many others have. I have been on here over a year and I haven't heard of anyone who got any punishment at all for getting pictures. Just keep them clean and tasteful :-) and you should be fine.

I printed a collage of pics on regular computer paper and sent them to my sr and she loved them. she said she did not get into trouble. But maybe different RDC's have different rules.

KC'smom--i am so very sad to hear this news. what in the world is God up to?  so many times when i think i have the perfect answer for somebody, i am reminded that i don't because i am not God.  and He is showing me that no matter what i think, i would be a rotten god anyhow.  we can trust that He knows what He is doing with your son, He feels that same pain that your son is feeling right now, and your son will be able to identify with someone else in the same situation in the future.  does he sound like he wants to heal and continue?  i hope so.   our military needs people of REAL character to be leaders.   adding him to my prayer list.
