Thanks, Squeekerz for your quick reply!  I will definitely be burning one during Battlestations and probably before that too.  Have a nice evening and talk with you again soon.

The blue candle can be burned for luck and to send good energy and well wishes to your SR.  I was burning one a lot at one point, but its almost gone now. lol   I also read that you burn one from 8am to 8pm the day they go to Battlestations to send the entire division your love and good wishes!   My avatar picture is of the three candles I'll burn during BS.

Can anyone tell me what the blue candle is all about?

Thank you for the questionnaire, Lala!  This is great because I was wanting to send  him something of this nature.  I really appreciate it.

hello friends, I just added a questionnaire to the discussions above. You can just copy and paste it to word and then change what you want to change and make it work for you. My Sailor is a girl so you may have to make some changes. Best of all it has a very good paragraph of encouragement to get them through battle stations. This one is really good to send after they are half way through bootcamp. I hope you like it. :-)

to you moms whose sons have passed some of their tests:  CONGRATULATIONS!!!    What  A GREAT accomplishment!

imajagtoo:  Many groups have gone over to "Anastasia's" after the Ramada MeetNGreet to get to know one another better.  If someone wants to head this up,  start a discussion group above about it.  It is just a restaurant but we have been told that they are very accommodating.  But they do like a "heads up" on about how many are coming so they can reserve part of the restaurant for you (free).  You just order your own meals there and pay individually for them.

Letters from my son May 11-15 My sons  letters says they took their first big test and passed!!! Swimming test as well. Yeah! He says the humidity is bad, he is sweaty 24/7. Says their DIV206 and 205 had their first taste of Vietnam, then they all went to bed sweaty. They have received their unifroms and they have been tailored, yea! We are getting closer (24 days) and I am so excited to see him and give him a big hug!

Got a very unexpected letter!!! (in same division as Donna). Sooo happy. He even got his "classification" which means he knows where he will be going after A school. A school for 12 months and then somewhere else for 3 months and then He already knows where he will be for the 3 years after A and C school!!!!!! Wow. And he now can write letters 3 times a week!!  I am sooo happy.

anyone want to organize a "meet and greet" later than 8 pm Thursday?  I figure we won't be rolling into the Navy Lodge until about that time, if not later....but we'll be so excited, we won't be able to get to sleep for several hours, I'm sure;)
