Your son sounds like a blessing.                          Well yesterday was a GREAT! day for me I got a letter.and then later that evening I got my first call.all in all he's doing very well.he did tell me something funny...He said the guys who sleep in the bunks around his. Told him that while he is sleeping He yells AYE AYE CHIEF!!!! Oh and he says he's completly cut off from the outside world He says he has no clue of what is going on in the world He said "So there no zombies running around taking over the world or nothing huh?"He's so silly!

Yeah momma Cindy! you reading the same scriture this morning is confimation to me that the Eagle sighting was not just for me... but for US..!!  Whoopee! look how he loves us.  Also this afternoon it hit me... my dear husband had bought me a humming bird feeder for Mothers Day.. and I was busy this week praying for those little hummers to come into my yard.

Now isn't it just like the Lord to say: you ask for the little ones.. and I brought you the BIGGEST one! And to think we are praying for those SR's to make it though and I believe God is saying.. OH they are going to do MORE than that! He is doing his biggest and his best for us! Oh how he loves us!

So glad your all excited with me!

Sunnyb - Another thing!  I know how it is to not have enough detail in their letters!  Though my SRs letters were upbeat, there was so much more I wanted to know.  But how much it says about your son that he would spend his time not lamenting about BC, but to tell his mom what a blessing she is in his life!   I've found when I'm craving detail about what's going on at BC, God seems to be asking me if I trust Him with my son only when I KNOW the details of his life or even when I don't.  I think we will all have grown quite about by PIR!

And what an awesome, loving, personal God to speak to you so specifically when you had a longing for something that couldn't happen (detail from your son).  Only God would send an eagle!  He loves us so!

Sunnyb - I was praying that scripture over our SRs this very morning!!!  I've always loved the "they that wait upon the Lord will rise up like eagles" like many who've followed the Lord for years, but this morning as I was looking at some other Isaiah verses, the part about Him giving strength to the weary and increasing the power of the weak just JUMPED off the page at me ...then "even youths grow tired and weary.. " - just what you shared below...I prayed this for my son and all of our SRs who I'm sure are a little weary right now.  What a promise!  What a loving God!  He knows just what we need!

Sunnyb, Thank you so much for your last comment! I am going to include the verse from Isaiah you shared with us in my SR's next letter. He warmed my heart when he said he went to church on Mother's Day and prayed for me. I am flying too!  Thanks again!

Thanks for sharing Sunnyb!  I've got goose bumps after reading your letter.  This helps to give hope to us all.

GIRLS..!!  I just finished reading my son's Mother's Day love letter to me. He didn't tell me much about himself, just how wonderful I was.. which was the sweetest most lovely letter ever! He was so busy thinking about me, he didn't write much about himeself and I really wanted to know how he was doing!.. Ugh

BUT I got in the car for an appointment directly after, and was not even a mile down my road when a Bald Eagle flew over my car and landed in the field in time for me to pull over and look at him. I have NEVER heard about nor seen one ever in this area.. only in a zoo!  It was a big God sighting to me so I hurried home to look up scriptures on eagles and I wanted to share it with you.

~I'm praying this for all us ladies and SR's.!

Isaiah 40: 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;  but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

*Oh Lord we believe that you are doing ALL of this and our SR's WILL pass and graduate as sailors..!!  In Jesus Name!

Psalm 103: 2 Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—  who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases (and Sailors),  who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Have a blessed day... I"m flyin..!! Hope you can grasp on and fly TOO!
