Ladies I just posted some places to eat in GL in the Discussion area.
Aslo, I keep forgetting to mention that the Gurnee Mall has an Ice Skating rink and an arcade. We didn't ice skate OR spend a lot of time in the arcade but I just thought I would mention it. There is a Blacklight mini golf course in the Arcade. My boys were "no fun" as I "just wanted to see what it looked like!" HA!
There is a reptile museum across from the Rain Forest Cafe. We went through. It wasn't inexpensive. Your Sailor gets a discount. My youngest wanted to see it and we like that stuff anyways!
The Rain Forest Cafe has some HUGE fish tanks and we just went in to look at those.
The Mall is a BIG "Z" shape. I made the mistake of saying," I'll just run and get some coffee" (Starbucks fix) while the boys were buying something.
Well, I forgot that I was practically ALL the way at the other end of the Mall. It would have been faster if I had gone out, got in the car and drove to the other end! LOL
Here is a map of the Mall that LaLa had sent me!
CONGRATULATIONS to all the new Sailors!
Keeping candle lit for the next group!
Prayers for those that are recovering from injuries...that they recover well and move on to complete BC!
To all you ladies who need to but that now infamous "black bag", there are some for $10.00 to $17.00 at Walmart in the luggage section. My sailor, ohhh it is nice to say that, is not even sure if he is allowed to take anything but he gave me a short list in case he can. They are strict about the phone. Remember to put the small liquid containers in plastic bags for flying.
At this point we are planning on taking the shuttle. I know that my sailor will not be ready at 1130 when the shuttle leaves for the motel. When he is we will come pick him up. I am up for suggestions. I am into easy.
Diannep - what have you heard of driving in vs. shuttle, pros and cons? We've heard the line is long to get in if you drive, but am wondering if there's any benefit when it comes time to leave if you've driven your own car vs. waiting for shuttle. Any insight?
