KC's mom..  you are not rambling about things no one cares about.~ we have all had our up and down moments on here, and with all the pressure we have been under, I think all our little hearts have melted with compassion for one another. We WANT to rejoice together in your son's recovery and success! Thank God for this sight and the caring hearts on it.. it gaves us somewhere to run when we needed to some to understand.

And Squeezers! it was truly uplifting to hear your words of your SR's blessed upgrade... and those awesome encouraging words you gave him!  Good job honey!

You 2 are already a great success story of perseverance and persistence!

Hey kids! :)  OK.. I am not part of your group.. but on 10/1/10 my daughter had her PIR.... I am driving back up this coming week to see her graduate from her "A" school in Great Lakes! :)  It's been a long road for you all, I know!  BUT beleive me when I say, when you see their PIR you will be awestruck!  Especially when they open the huge door!  I cried the whole time, my pictures I took are all blurry, but we sat in front of her division and she found us (we kept seeing her smile... but she had tears streaming down her face too!)  We sat on the top row so we could stand on our bleacher and wave at her! :)   If any of you have questions, please feel free to ask and CONGRATS to you all, you made it, they made it and the next chapter in their future is about to start!!  IT gets sooo much better once they get their phones and computers! :)

You said it well Mamacindy. Amen! And.....that countdown clock is looking pretty darn good, finally.

One of the Dad's I have been talking to told me they called him "grandpa". Still cracks me up. It is bad enough I call him "Daddy" for our dog.

Praying for a miracle. He got the letters from the 1st graders and LOVED them. I'm so happy that cheered him up. I swear, they really were so darn cute!  Wait til he gets the 5th graders cards. He's going to crack up. They are full of pictures. One girl even took hers home and decorated hers with felt flowers!! hahaaha. I think she even drew a picture of herself for him. She had braces on her teeth. haha.

KC's mom post all you want, we love hearing everyone's news. It is awesome that everyone got to talk to him. I am sure that was a wonderful treat for your SR and your family as well. I hope he gets that miracle asap :-) They really do happen!

So much good news in the last 30 hours since I've been on!  I can hear the joy & excitement in everyone's "voice" as we look forward to PIR in just a few days.!!!  And I sense a calmer peace in KC'smom and Squeekerz as your SRs adjust to healing so they can achieve what they set out to do!    We have come so far from those crazed, tear-filled women who were so desperate for those 3 week phone calls or our first letters!  I can still remember the emotion of my son not being able to get through to 3 diff cell numbers so we only got an 8 minute call  and fa4airtan missing her call completely.  I don't know when I've been so heart broken in years!  And the joy I feel now that my SR is so close and pianomom's son has FLOATED, others have recovered from illnesses....what joy!

Do you remember the eagle sightings from several weeks ago? This morning we sang an anthem in church "Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord... You're the defender of the weak, you comfort those in need, you lift us on wings like eagles"!  I kept thinking of my SR and had to concentrate on the words so I wouldn't break up, then would focus on Pianomom and her SR as I didn't yet know he had floated!!!  We have surely seen Him strengthen the weak and comfort us as we waited for this time to come to completion.  We'll never forget this journey together!  As hard as it's been, I'm thinking we will treasure it for the rest of our lives  .....and not want to relive it! : )

Squeekerz: yes!!!  My son called! And i got off work early today (light work load due to injury) and I was at a family birthday party so the phone got passed around to my mom and dad, my husband, my other children, my sister and all 4 of her children. My dad (retired career navy officer) actually hogged up quite a bit of our 25 minutes!!!  But I sacraficed my minutes b/c I knew it would be great for my boy to hear someone elses voice besides mine!  He was actually re-assigned to a a new date for A school in Monterey and his language that he was supposed to be learning was still available. THANK GOD. My dad said he will have an excellent job available after his 6 years with this language skill.  We're praying for a miracle to get him out of RCU asap. When he's not in physical therapy or at chow hall he is doing laundry. hahahahaha. anything to get him out of the division. His foot still hurts when he's on it, which worries me. He said the doctor told him 8-10 weeks but he is hoping for a miracle and to be out of there sooner. He is in phase 2 of Physical therapy. Phase 1 is when they are on crutches. Phase 2 is when they walk without crutches. I think Phase 4 or 5 is when they are cleared to run.  Sorry for rambling about things maybe no one else really cares about. I know you all have good news to share and are focused on PIR. I don't mean to be the gloomy cloud lurching around PIR 6/17! hahahaha.  just had to share!
