There is a beautiful young woman who has been stuck in boot camp for 8 months, after suffering a terrible Tibia fracture. Her final chance at making the timed run is tomorrow. If she does not pass she will be separated. I chat with her sister frequently and this young girl needs all the prayer she can get. this is her last chance. After all she has endured, the hospital, the nursing home, RCU, the FIT program.... she has never given up. Please say a prayer for her!!!!

I told him the same thing. Just when the these guys are probably at their wits end, you come along with all the energy in the world!!  He was sooo happy when I talked to him. YOu know it's bad when you're happy to be in a boot camp division!!  He has 13 days to go!!!

KC'smom--that is just unbelievable!!!    and to think--not too long ago, he was in trouble for playing hangman!!!  HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!  and he just killed that run--awesome!   keep us posted on when he will do battlestations.  in a way, he has had so much time to actually get some rest, he oughta really be up for this round.   i assume the family vacation will now be in Great Lakes?

@mamacindy--that is hilarious about the lady in walmart.  @KC'mom:  at least you have "something" to help hold your phone in your bra!

love today to all of you

KC'smom - so happy for the great news! Let us know what is going on so we can relive those BC days. I was just thinking how excited we were 3 weeks ago. In some ways seemsllike a long time ago & at other times can't believe it's been 3 weeks since PIR. Also, that is awesome news about hs running times! Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend.

YAY!!!! I am SO thrilled for you, KC'smom!!!! What a wonderful payoff for all the waiting! Thankful for a home in a new division for him. I know he has waited SO long to have a home again. Can't wait to see the post that you have a Sailor! The time will come and we're all so happy for you! Glad your recovery is progressing so well, too!

By the way.... he became "fit for full duty" Monday. Monday was my last day in my air cast. He started his 1st day in his new division Tuesday and I started my first day w/o my "boot" Tuesday. hahahahahahaa   And talk about determined. when he first arrived at boot camp he failed his run by 30 seconds. On Monday, he passed his run with 1 minute and 8 seconds to spare!!!  hahahaha

He called!!!!!!  and he is in a division!!!!  And he will graduate 1 day before his 20th birthday which was our dream!!!  He said as soon as it happened, that he did not want to be there for his birthday!!! (july30th). so if he took the 8-10 weeks to recover he would have been there til August. I told him that he can do this in 6 weeks. I just felt it. And I just felt it would be July 29th. I had already planned to be off work that day b/c I justs knew it. He kept on telling me not to get my hopes up b/c he didn't want me to be disappointed. I told him, I could never be disappointed - I just want to dream!!!  And it came true. He was sooo happy. He said his division kinda sucks compared to his last one, but he got back in time to get his pictures done. I'm on cloud 9 right now. Seems inappropriate b/c an old friend was killed yesterday morning by a drunk driver and I've been crying and sad. Now I'm happy and crying. he asked me what is new and I didn't tell him about our friend's death. Nothing negative while in boot camp. thanks for being there for me when I needed moral support. And yes, I have been doing the bra phone thing since Monday waiting to hear if he moved!!!!  Crazy, but I don't use a purse or phone clip on my pants. So what is a girl to do? hee hee!!!
